1  People turned into dolls in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by HalloweenTown on: January 25, 2015 11:58:01 AM
I would like to show you my work of this last Christmas, I had some orders to turn people into dolls. I really like this kind of dolls, they are pretty difficult sometimes though.
This first doll was the easiest one, lucky she was only wearing the green dress and I found a similar fabric. I really like her face and hair.

This guy is a guitarist of my island (I'm from Canary Islands, Spain). I found a miniature guitar just like his favourite one, so he flipped out when he saw the doll. He is wearing the clothes of his last show, you can see a picture of him playing guitar  Smiley (that one is a different guitar)

I made this doll actually on last summer, but never show it to you. His girlfriend wanted to surprise him with a Walking Dead inspired version of himself. That's why he is wearing a katana sword and leather gloves. Unfortunetly, he cut off his hair one week before his birthday  Angry haha! but he loved the doll anyway, and took that picture with the doll. I love that they both are wearing the same clothes  Cheesy Cheesy

I accidently delete the photos of this girl, but I show you the doll anyway because she is so cute! I think I need a bear hat like that one  Cheesy  This doll is still on its way to his destination, but I hope she loves it  Smiley

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Cheesy

2  Miss Argentina (Beetlejuice) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by HalloweenTown on: January 08, 2015 01:13:38 AM
After I made two dolls of Lydia, one of the main characters of the movie Beetlejuice, I made another character that only appears a few minutes in the movie, but she is unforgettable!
In the movie someone says that people who commit suicide become civil servants, and we see Miss Argentina working as the receptionist of the "Afterlife Office". I had so much fun doing this doll, I tried new things like sewing the cape with wire inside, so its neck can be fold the way we want. I love her hair and her green zombie skin  Cheesy
I hope you like her!

This is Miss Argentina in the movie Smiley

3  Witch from the Woods in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by HalloweenTown on: November 26, 2014 02:47:07 AM
Two weeks ago, I had a stand in the Manga Festival in my island, and I wanted to make a special outfit. My stuff is always inspired by fantasy characters, so I  thought I would look nice in a witch dress  Cheesy
So I made a "mini me" for the Festival, to show everyone I can make a doll with the outfit you are wearing. I really love this doll, her dress was pretty easy to make, and so the felt hat. Hope you like her!  Cheesy

And this is me with my "Mini me"  Cheesy She is prettier than me, I forgot to make her glasses  Cheesy Cheesy

I had so much fun making this doll! I've always wanted to make a Jack Sparrow version, and I love the result!
He is wearing the outfit of the first movie. His boots and belts are made out of faux leather. I made wool dreadlocks and they are all over his head. I hope you like it!  Cheesy

7  Mrs. Lovett in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by HalloweenTown on: September 24, 2014 04:53:04 AM
Hi!! I just finished Mrs. Lovett, from the musical thriller Sweeney Todd. It was a big challenge to make her clothes, but I like them Smiley I tried to reproduce her dress the best I could, since I couldn't find a brown fabric for her dress.  I hope you like her! Cheesy

8  Re: Siamese Circus Twins in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by HalloweenTown on: August 01, 2014 12:45:54 PM
She's got twice the love to give. Love it! They are really nicely done. Their contrasting hair is sweet. It makes me think, what if you made one a boy and one a girl, but both sharing the same lower body. WHAT?! WOAH!?

I see you have a twisted mind just like me... this is what I did after the Siamese doll sketch. Did you read my mind?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

They are suposed to be a Circus Ringmaster and his pretty helper... the sketch is not really good  Cheesy

Thanks everyone for your nice comments!

9  Siamese Circus Twins in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by HalloweenTown on: July 31, 2014 03:06:03 PM
I totally forgot to show this doll. I modified the body pattern to make it wider, and I even thought that I couldn't finish the dress because it didn't fit well in the body, but after so much work... here she (or they) is (are)  Cheesy
They are inspired by the siameses from the movie "Big Fish", when I saw them I knew that one day I will make a siamese doll. I hope you like her (them HuhCheesy Cheesy

10  Twin Peaks scene in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by HalloweenTown on: July 30, 2014 09:12:53 AM
Two months ago I had a marathon of "Twin Peaks", I know the show is from 1990 but I never get to watch it until now. I felt in love with every character, it's such a great story! So I wanted to do something related to one of the weirdest scenes from the show, the agent Cooper's dream.

I had some tiny figure from train scales, so I turned a wood box into a diorama and the box top is now the box itself, and added some memorabilia from the show. There are some things missing, like the coffee table and two lamps. The painting is not so good because the figures are so small!

The first picture is for size reference, I hope you like it!
