1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Bernat handicrafter 14 oz cotton yarn?? CHEAP on: June 25, 2006 07:32:41 PM
I was at AC Moore today and saw this yarn. http://www.yahwehsaliveandwell.com/handicrafter.html  It was $9.99 for this huge skein!  Plus with the always 40% coupons this seems like cheap yarn.  Has anybody used or seen this??

I am not a big fan of boucle, and am a fairly new knitter.  Any help would be appreciated.  I am going to my LYS to look at the recommended yarn tomorrow.
3  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Mom's sophisticated scarf on: November 18, 2005 08:00:17 PM
Okay,  I haven't been able to upload pictures.  I am the slowest knitter and slowest poster Smiley Here is the scarf I made for my mother- in- law.  Yes it is pretty conservative and at first she didn't realize I made it!  (I'm not very crafty)  I hope she now likes it.  Check it out on my blog http://chaosknits.blogspot.com
I love aurora 8.

5  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / SnB Nation Boob tube on: August 03, 2005 07:26:59 AM
I posted this under the completed projects but it was suggested to post it here.

I completed the boob tube awhile ago but has taken awhile to be able to post pictures on my blog.  Take a peek! (http://chaosknits.blogspot.com)

It was easy to knit (I am not experienced)  I knit tightly so it ended up for my daughter!  Has anyone else made this??  My daughter stated I was poncho obsessed! ( I had made the paris loop x2, the spiderweb capelet, and now this!)    It is really because I am afraid to sew!!

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / baby yarns for baby blanket, HELP on: July 15, 2005 06:57:41 PM
Hi! I wanted some expert input. My BIL/SIL are expecting.   I am planning to make the prairie blanket from OAT Couture.  I was wondering if anyone had any favorite yarns. I am thinking of a natural fiber or fiber blend.  I would like it washeable and wear well and be soft enough for a child.  Appreciate any advice! Thanks!
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Your Favorite Yarn? on: April 24, 2005 06:54:04 PM
As I have begun to learn to knit, I was wondering what peoples favorite yarns were despite cost.  I know that it often depends  on project, but was interested in peoples feedback.

So far, I love Brown sheep's prairie silk and karabella aurora 8!  So soft, and easy to knit!!
9  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Help with bobbles Boob tube! on: March 31, 2005 11:53:12 AM
I am trying to complete my boob tube from SNB Nation.  The instructions say to K3 into next stitch, turn, p3,turn, k3,turn sl1,k2tog, psso.

I am having difficulty K3 into same stitch, as it seems to unravel when I turn and p3.   If I k,p,k into stitch  it seems to work.
My next question is if I do the instructions, it seems I end on the wrong side.  Is there supposed to be another turn IE) K3 into stitch,turn,p3,turn,k3,turn,p3, turn sl1,k2tog,psso?
I appreciate any help! I am almost done!!
10  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / totally tubular boob tube - bobbles??? on: March 17, 2005 07:26:40 PM
Hi! I am making the boob tube from stitch N bitch nation.  I am using the cotton twist in sea anemone.  I still cannot decidie how to finish it.  Should I do the bobbles as in the pattern, or something else?? For the finish the pattern calls for 5 rounds in garter st, 2 rounds st. stitch, then the K4, make bobble; repeat end of rouund, the work 2 rounds st. stitch, 5 rounds garter.  Any recommendations, for I am not a real bobble fan.
