21  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Received from DARKLADYMAJESTA! on: September 27, 2010 05:54:58 PM
Hey Ya'll! My partner is awesome and sent super early! Here are the pics of darkladymajesta's tiny book. The theme: FALL (my favorite season)

I love love love it. I love that I get to put it away each year and pull it back out during fall. I love the stamping and how the entire book flows from page to page.

She also sent me a bag of extra goodies and 600 FALL stickers! AWESOME.

Best swap ever.

Hello all!

So....A week after receiving my package from Schnerby and another week after finding my camera- here are some pics of our swap!

Here is what I received from Schnerby! I can't even believe this is the first time she has carved stamps:
look at the beautiful butterfly!

THE OWL SAYS !CLAIRE! in the middle of it's belly. Does it get any cuter?

polka dots & happy raindrops!

Thank you so much Schnerby for your stamps!

Oh- she also sent me an envelope of inchie backs and drawings. Also awesome!

Here are some pics of the journal I made for her:

gallery of processed stamps:

hand made envelope to store goodies:

an inchie art gallery & vellum envelopes filled with blank inchies:

I was inspired to do something with a rainbow. I've seen some of the books based on rainbow colors and love them:

I had so much fun in this swap!

ENJOY

25  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Group 5 = awesome! on: April 28, 2010 06:10:54 AM
I tried to wait until I got my entire group....but I just couldn't!
Hebe- your inchies will be added in short order when I receive Smiley

From Nostephot:

(these came in a little inchie storage/display book) I'm going to have to go with vacation as my fav at this moment...because I need one!

From Alwaysinmyroom:

the little cupcake is just darling...

From Pupper:

these were double sided! wowwy! I'm going with the "oh-no" doggy...we just got a puppy and she makes that face a lot.

From malmow:

I love the text behind the B...they all look so vintage. love it.

From leafy_lane:

SO clever: K-Kaput (story to follow) W- worn; Q- quaint; E- Eye-catching; So, when I was taking them off her card I freaked because I thought I wrecked the K by tearing it down the middle....then I realized that is the whole point and laughed. Way to go leafy_lane!

All together now (except Hebe73)

So happy!
26  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / The one that left me.... on: April 28, 2010 05:56:35 AM
Hey all!
Just want to say how FUN and oddly RELAXING this whole experience has been. It's so nice to come home (or be at work) and look at everyone's creations and they always make me smile.
SOOO- I'm making 2 seperate posts due to the abundance of pics.

Here is a few pics of the set before I sent it all over the world. I miss it...but the coolness of my new set will replace its loss Smiley

ALSO- I think our next mission should be to petition the world to add 2 more letters to our alphabet so that when we mount these they fit into an even square/rectangle! anyone with me?

27  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: First attempt at Quilling on: March 31, 2010 06:56:26 PM
you did this with a bobby pin?? I am totally impressed. I love quilling- this Christmas I made my whole family snowflakes upon snow flakes upon snow flakes....they loved it and I was addicted.

I used a toothpick for about the first few months and then went to Michael's and upgraded to a real quilling tool. It will change your quilling life. One thing you don't need for sure are the silly little scissors they try to sell you with the quilling tool- don't buy them...

also.... I get all my paper from Whimsiquills.com... it's so cheap Smiley

have fun quilling Smiley
28  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Yellow Patchwork Desk w/ Mod Podge mayhem! on: March 29, 2010 04:28:29 AM
this is so awesome! The top looks so awesome and the fact you just used scraps of paper and modpodge- that's impressive. Nice job! inspires me to nose around on craigslist again Smiley

Phizzy, you never fail to knock my socks off.

DITTO! Everything you do just looks effortless and so organic and natural.

The thing I love the most about this book (and your inchies) is the vibrant watercolors you use. What brand/kind do you use? I'm a cheapo and have stuck with crayola but if I can get the kind of color you do- I would totally splurge on "real" watercolors...

just love it love it love it

Thank you for all you sweet posts! to answer Pink Pug INK, The designs are MOST definitely stamps Smiley The whole reason I got into inchie art is because I am no good at free hand drawing at all...the small space hides all mistakes Wink
