23  Re: knit wrap sweater... in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by tinytallgirl on: August 22, 2005 02:34:35 PM
I think you might've been talking about this sweater wrap.  I shop way too much from the website it's sold on.  It's made of cashmere here....but is a great idea for a knitting project!!!

I still can't find our digi cam to show you my newest one, but here's some from my files.

1)  Occy - my octopus...I've had him since 5/96 a month before graduating high school.  I was 17 then Smiley

2)  Pasemplihin - in the ancient script Alibata/Baybayin from the Philippines.   It's derived from sanksrit.
It means, "to make it simple"...translate that to "Keep it Simple"...which is how I like to live my life.

3)  My "Sally Stitches" Grin Grin Grin  All I have to say, is...I am so in love with Tim Burton's work.

I'm getting ready to start on my left 1/2 sleeve and then my right. Smiley
Cheers!!!!

This is my newest addition.  Again, I love Burton's work and art.

26  Hat for Baby ;D in Knitting: Completed Projects by tinytallgirl on: July 10, 2005 12:19:43 PM
I made this for my friend's daughter.  She was born just last month, and is still wearing the beanie she got from the hospital because all the ones they received are still too big for her.

Egh...sorry that it's a bit blurry.  In a bit of a rush to eat my lunch Grin

Happy Knitting folks!

27  Re: i LOVE Frida! in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by tinytallgirl on: June 27, 2005 10:24:27 AM
So, i am DESPERATELY in love with Salma Hayek, and FRIDA Wink... Oh, my WEAK Ness Kiss.... well, anyways, i live in this 1930's apartment, and needed to "spruce" up the little "Hall-way", i guess you would call it. i totally negotiated my way to thins FABULOUS Frida movie poster at my local renting store. i had some post cards of Frida, got some tacks, and tastfully "STaggered" them  by the poster.and if you'll notice, there;'s this Cute little pocket in the wall, where people used to put the phone, but i turned it into a little shelt for my sketch books/insence holder holder/ a place to put my Angel i "Re-vamped" into a hooked Wall Hanging Wink... what cha think... oh, yeas, and i couldn't forget about my virgin mary. she's FAbulous, and my protector Grin Grin... CHOW!!!

I share the same love, and so does my hubby Cheesy

We have the movie, book, and soundtrack.  We cook themed dinners with the music playing.  There's a few good places to go to in LA to pick things up to add to your wall.  Can you paint your walls in the apartment?  I would go poppy red or pumpkin orange.....or azul

28  Re: Stitch recommendations for a cushy scarf in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by tinytallgirl on: June 26, 2005 06:23:19 AM

i posted this pic somewhere else on the site but i'm in love with this stitch!  this is my scarf about 1/4 of the way through... i'm convinced it would look much more elegant in a nice fiber (i used cheap acrylic) in a lovelier color... anyhow here is the link to the pattern! http://www.sheepinthecity.prettyposies.com/archives/000079.html

This is the thread that you posted in: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=26818.0

29  Re: Lelah's done! (now with PATTERN) in Knitting: Completed Projects by tinytallgirl on: June 15, 2005 03:35:16 PM

Yay!  I started this on Thursday, and just couldn't put it down.  I added "brick slings" because my boobs would swing down to the floor otherwise.

This pattern is so awesome.  I just made this one with Microspun, but will buy a real nice fancypants yarn for the next one.  I am gonna make daily Lelahs - like those Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday underwear.  It's gonna be a wardrobe revolution!

what needle size did you use?  I purchased micro-spun as well Smiley

30  Re: Kyoto - anyone want to join? in Knitalongs by tinytallgirl on: June 07, 2005 10:56:05 PM
Here's the WIP...along with our son throwing a fit because it's bathtime.  (btw, I embroidered that little anchor on his bullybeater Cheesy)

Sleeves and sash.  I knitted the sleeves in the round, and just pulled the extra slack of the circulars as I knitted instead of purchasing the same needle in a different length.

Sash...I bumbled and did single seed stitches instead of double.  I didn't realize this until I was more than halfway through.  Oh well, it's my first sweater and the first time I tried seed stitching.

The sash is only 4-4.5 inches in height.  I'm 4'11 1/2 and don't have much torso to offer.

Anyone else have WIP's?
