1  Re: Felicity aka Keri's Sundance hat in Knitting: Completed Projects by tinytallgirl on: January 29, 2008 08:33:07 PM
Here's another felicity for ya!

I used Elsebeth Lavold Silky Flamm on 6's and 8's.  Unfortunately, this project had an owner before it was born.  I didn't want to give it up, I tell ya.

Picture it without the seaming needle

Blurry, but you get the point of how it fits...

2  Re: Really Warm Hat in twinkle soft chunky (free pattern) in Knitting: Completed Projects by tinytallgirl on: January 29, 2008 08:29:12 PM

I made this using 17's circular instead of 15's.  I really really wish I had 15's.  That's now on my needed "ingredients" list when I go to the craft or lys.

Still though, this hat finished up quick and I love wearing it.  It's so cozy.

Thank you for the pattern!!!

I finished Cheesy:D:D:D  I have quite the pumpkin head, but it's alright.  My girlfriend already laid claims on this. I'll make the next to be a bit roomier for my ample sized brain Smiley

Thank you again, LuLu Clyde.  I enjoyed knitting this hat Cheesy

I used Lion Brand Wool Ease.  The needles were 6's and 8's...only because I didn't have a 16' circular for the 7's.

Loved it!

4  Re: Banana Republic Hat Knockoff *big pics* **Now with PATTERN!** in Knitting: Completed Projects by tinytallgirl on: November 24, 2007 09:00:30 PM
I had a lot of fun making mine...only took about an hour and a half of watching the "What not to Wear" marathon yesterday.  I'm hoping to make a couple to help save some money and stash bust.

This was made with 1 skein of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Superchunky in a burnt orange color.

Thanks for the pattern!!! Grin

5  Meet Kingston the Lion - The cousin of Roxycraft's Winston the Lion in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by tinytallgirl on: November 24, 2007 08:08:38 PM
This is Kingston, originally Roxycraft's Winston the Lion...only Joann fabrics didn't have the same type of yarn for his mane and I had to improvise using Lion Brand suede.  The body in all took about a week for me crochet and assemble.  His hair on the other hand is all individual crochet loops and took me about 8 hours in one sitting.  Thank goodness there was a TV marathon going on.

Anyhow, our 5 year old brings him nearly everywhere and holds him dearly.  I was originally going to make his scarf in Rastafarian colors to go along with his name.  Thanks for the pattern, Roxycraft...now our boy has a true handmade keepsake Smiley

6  Scarf of a Different Stitch... in Knitting: Completed Projects by tinytallgirl on: January 30, 2007 09:17:35 PM
The name of the stitch is a bit questionable, but I do love how it turns out... Faggot Stitch.  Can someone please tell me if there's an alternative name to this.

I used Caron's simply soft in watermelon pink and a bright green.  It's a late gift for a friend.  I also seamed the ends together to so it's just a circular scarf to toss over your head once or twice.

By the lovely MissMisha  Grin

A re-vamped version of my grandfather's tattoo that he got during WWII, and a tribute to him and my father.

We have our color session in 2 weeks. Cheesy

PS - MissMisha has beautiful and colorful work, just call her for a consultation.  Don't be an ass and take custom work.
This is custom work, and I hope not to see a crappy copy of it anywhere.

9  Clapotis - FIN!!! 100% Bamboo Yarn in Knitting: Completed Projects by tinytallgirl on: January 07, 2006 08:02:59 AM
I made this using 2 1/2 skeins of the Southwest Trading Company's 100% Bamboo yarn on #6 circular needles.  It felt like I was literally knitting with DMC Floss!!!  It's about 6 feet long, so it drapes nicely as a scarf and wrap.  I doubled the increase portion.

The material is beautiful, wonderfully soft to the touch, and light.

I'm giving it to my bestfriend for her birthday on Tuesday. I'll post a pic of her wearing it Smiley
