1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Where the Wild Things Are longsleeve shirt:D on: February 22, 2010 12:09:58 PM
Oh herrow:D
I started making this shirt a few days ago, entirely handmade and a total pain in the ass ^_^
But really, it was entirely worth it.

The fabric itself was maybe a yard and a half to two yards of idkwhat, some sort of spandexy swimsuit bolt fabric, the same I made some shorts out of. The graphic is just black and goldglitter fabric paint, FREEHAND!

So let me know what you guys think!

Fun story, about ninetyseven percent of the way done with this, my sewing machine crapped out on me and I have no idea what it thinks its doing, but the thread keeps getting caught somehwere and tangled and UUUUGGHHH. I was going to add a hood,  with maybe another little silhouette character of Carol, but I really hate handstitching, so I'll just be lazzyyy about it.

Sooo questions? Comments?
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Animal Print Makeup Bag on: February 10, 2010 12:28:17 PM
Hey all, I made a pretty simple little makeup bag, the fabric was adorable!

and a close up of the fabric:

The fabric itself is seafoam greenblue, a very stiff cotton (I LOVE CLEARANCE BOLTS AAHH!!), with a white, wired satin-y ribbon for a handle. All in all, it took about twenty minutes tops. I need a better camera though, my phone sucks!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / bubble shorts! (firstpost) on: February 08, 2010 12:01:53 AM
Hello everyone:D
I'm new here but I've been sewing for about five years, today I attempted to make shorts from scratch, so let me know what you guys think. These were inspired by Talim ( http://fightersgeneration.com/characters4/talim-sc2fix2.jpg ) from the SoulCaliber games. If there's a specific name for this style, can anyone let me know? Also, these were taken from my phone, so sorry about shitty quality :/

OH ballsack I can only give links. Sad

Oh that silly pikachu always sneaks himself into pictures...

And just because I'm slightly obsessed with bows:

To be honest I didn't see what type of fabric it said on the post, but it feels like either rayon or spandex, a mixture, I'm not too sure. I just wanted something elastic-y. That's the first pair I've ever made, it was actually not as difficult as I'd imagined.

Well any feedback let me know:D
