Here is my Brown Gable:

The details are on my blog.

Ericab, this looks great!  I love the color.  I am thinking of doing a brown and pink striped version w/ some Brown Sheep I've got in my stash!

2  Strawberry Shortcake Socks in Knitting: Completed Projects by knitkatgrrl on: July 18, 2005 09:16:33 PM
Hi all,

Finished up my first pair of socks!  Love them!

I made them using 1 hank of Knitterly Things Vesper Sock Yarn in Aqua Melon 3.  It's 100% merino, hand dyed to perfection and a dream to work with!  Her yarns can be found at www.knitpixie.com.

Here are the ones I made w/o the buttons yet.  I also made a matching Umbilical Cord hat...w/o the umbilical cord.

I used Wendy Peter Pan yarn in Blossom (DK weight, doubled) for both.  The booties are addictive...I could make millions of them.  So quick and easy (now that I figured out the crochet part).

Kimmy,
Thanks for fixing the link.  I am a moron sometimes...

Here's a pic of Mom modeling...

I love the Clappy more in solid colors I think...Less worry about color pooling too.

8  Cable 8 from Interweave Knits in Knitting: Completed Projects by knitkatgrrl on: April 25, 2005 07:14:02 PM
Hi all,

I finished this last night (after rushing to my LYS to figure out how to single crochet)!  Whatcha think???

This is like my FIRST finished garment (besides a wretched poncho I am thinking of frogging)!  If you are interested in the pattern, it's in the Interweave Knits mag for Spring 2005.  I used Rowan All Seasons Cotton, two strands held together.  The color is Jaunty!

9  Re: Cable Eight Along from Interweave Knits Spring 2005...whose along? in Knitalongs by knitkatgrrl on: April 24, 2005 08:36:37 PM
I am done!  Woo hoo!  I love this sweater and I learned some new tricks from it too: cabling and crocheting!  And lemme tell you, crocheting two pieces together is WAY better than seaming (sewing) so a little extra YAY for that.

Here I am in all my proudness (I know that's not a word)!!!

I have got to say, this was a great sweater project!  Good luck to the rest of you and I can't wait to see your finished products!

Ok, so I am 25% done.  Well, maybe a little more than that!  So far so good, but I am a little worried.  It's coming out very springy.  See the picture below, I had to hold one end w/ the iron and the other end w/ my hand so I could stretch it out so you could see the pattern.  I wonder if this is going to be too snug???  I measured my chest and it's a 36" so I made the sweater that is 38.5".  Maybe the yarn is springy.

Mojisha, are you having the same prob?Huh?

Here is one up close...i love this cable pattern...

How are you guys coming along?
