This is such a beautiful piece... and hugs from someone who has been through the same more than once... but also now has a beautiful little girl who is 10 months old today.
Your piece is healing just to look at, I imagine it was more so to create.
You're welcome. I've bought several of her prints for my daughter's room and I always look forward to seeing her at DragonCon every year. She's such a sweet person.
That is great! I loved your Saturn V, but this is even better. I mentioned on the other thread about my grandfather working for NASA, so now I can tell you more about him with this. He was actually one of the ones that helped to design the shuttles!
Also, he and my father inspected and passed one of the launch pads down at Kennedy.
I used to do this all the time as a kid... before someone decided to make a "kit" and make money off of it! My dad actually does "zentangles" all the time on the edges of paper, the back of envelopes, whenever he's bored. I've got to tell him there's a technical name for it now! He'll get a kick out of that. I think as a kid I picked up the habit from him.
Those are really beautiful and I've been wanting to get back into drawing myself. It's something I used to love doing so much... maybe this would be a perfect way for me to get started again.
Okay, I made an account just so I could comment on this. It is awesome! I'm a big fan of the Saturn V, especially since it's practically the icon of the city I live in. We have a life sized replica that is the tallest thing in the city.... you can practically see it from everywhere.
Love it! Love it! Love it!
(also my grandfather worked for NASA for many many many years, and I know he would have loved your replica)
