I was playing around tonight with some of the cheap acrylic craft paint and while cleaning up I got a really cool pattern on the piece of scrap fabric I was cleaning up with.  It was a piece of an old 50/50 cotton/poly sheet.  There are varying amounts of paint on the cloth and I have it hanging to dry.  I plan on using it in an art project as the background for something and was wondering if I should seal it somehow.

Inside of the first non-tester (machine tension was a pain to figure out) fabric bowl I made. I like the look of the smaller and closer together zig zag stitches better than the longer and wider ones. It takes more time, but the resutl is worth it. The thread is a gold color. 38 feet of rope was used to make this bowl.  It measures 3 inches deep and 8 inches in diameter.

This next one is a bowl I made for my ministers 25th wedding aniversary, the party was today. It's made from a remnant of a home dec fabric. The freying made it look more unique. It's a dark silver color with lighter silver flowers and some blue accents. the shape it took was totally by accident. the loops were ment to be verticle but ended up in a horizontal 3-d shape.  This "mistake" is giving me some really good ideas for future bowls/baskets.  The pic doesn't show it very well but the loops really are all the same. 45 feet of rope was used to make this bowl.

I'm dreaming of all the things to make after I move Saturday and finally get all my stuff out of storage (it's been there since December 08).  I've been drooling over the coiled fabric bowls.  I was wondering if anyone knows the approx yardage of fabric they use to make a standard bowl?  This is just my brains way of planning and getting more info.  I have a ton of fabric in storage just waiting to be used.   

I made this hat as my niece Lilly's Christmas present.  She is almost 2 and LOVES hats.  I found the pattern online.

Last Fall I started off making just the one monkey for my niece whos nickname is Monkey.  Then I had several other people ask me to make one for them too (the extra cash was fun too!).

Here is my first monkey I made for my niece, my brother named it Fe-Fe laFeet.


This is a monkey my mom had me make for my great aunt.  I just learned today that the aunt who got this monkey was put in hospice this week.  She's in her 90's, has alzheimers, isn't eating more that a few small bites per day and as a result she weighs under 100 pounds and she is 5'8", and she isn't walking anymore.


These are two monkeys I made for one of my ministers.  The one with the green and white stripes went to my other ministers grandson.  He HAS to sleep with it every night.  I'm the human in the picture.
