1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Stump dolls and stripey tights! on: August 27, 2011 03:56:01 PM
Hi everyone,

I made up a couple of mini-stump dolls last week with some spangly scarves that I bought. I do love playing with sparkly fabrics!

I also just finished these two girls today. I was meaning to slow down a bit with my dolls and maybe try something new, but I got my hands on some stripey fat quarters and couldn't resist making stripey tights!!
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / A Little Ballerina Girl on: August 24, 2011 06:55:30 AM
Hi everyone,

I made a little pink ballerina yesterday and I'm really pleased with the way that she turned out. I thought I would share her photo with you!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Pattern/advice for making a g-string? on: July 29, 2011 01:52:49 AM
Hi everyone,

I've been looking online for a pattern for a g-string and am not having much luck...I wondered if anyone here could help me?

I was going to put up a picture, but then I thought that maybe it wouldn't be suitable for Craftster, so here is a link to the kind of underwear that I want to try and make http://www.lolaluna-uk.com/type/24/closed-mini-g-string/page-1.htm
I think its so pretty, but its quite expensive and I figured that I could try and make something similar myself (maybe!)

Has anyone ever made something similar, or have any advice on what kind of elastic would be the most comfortable to wear? If anyone knew of a pattern too then that would be great!

Thank you ladies xx
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Hippy Dolls on: July 28, 2011 12:54:48 AM
Hi everyone,

I recently made two hippies as I found a couple of psychedelic-looking fat-quarters that I thought would make groovy outfits (I am soooo addicted to fat quarters that its not even funny!!) I'm not so used to using bright and bold colours, but I really like the way that they turned out, so I thought I would share them with you. The blonde one is called Willow Warmtears and the brunette is Astrid Fields!

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / More little spirit girls! on: July 24, 2011 04:11:09 PM
Hi everyone,

I know that ghost dolls have been quite popular here lately, and so I thought I would show you my latest two. One was ordered by a local gift shop, and the other I entered into a competition in a craft community that I am part of called The Hive (http://creatingthehive.com/) I don't think that she'll win as there are some AMAZING artists there, but its always worth a try! Anyway, here are my two latest little spirits....
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Creepy Dolls on: July 01, 2011 09:38:17 AM
Hi everyone,

I was recently given an order for 3 spooky looking dolls. I finished them up today and I thought that some Craftsters might be interested in having a look Shocked)

I found these quite a challenge to make as they're not as 'girly' and 'pretty' as I normally prefer, but I'm hoping that my recipient is going to like them. Keep your fingers crossed for me! Cheesy

7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Scottish Rag Doll Lassies! on: June 20, 2011 12:30:31 PM
Hi everyone,

I just finished up making two little Scottish rag dolls for a local gift shop. I wasn't sure how they were going to turn out (as tartan isn't really my favourite thing!) but I think that they came out not too bad. I thought I would let you have a look and see what you think..

8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Glamorous Ghost Dolls! on: June 15, 2011 09:37:59 AM
Hi everyone, I just finished making two little ghost dolls and I'm really pleased with the way they have turned out. I thought I would like to share some pics with you, as I know there are lots of Craftsters who like spooky things (although these girls aren't really very scary!!)

9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Einstein Feltie! on: May 27, 2011 06:50:36 AM
Hi everyone,

I have a friend who is a physics teacher and I wanted to make him a little present and came up with this - its Albert Einstein made out of felt! I didn't really know any other famous physicists, so I hope that he likes him. Little Albert is very tiny..I haven't measured him, but he must be around 2-3" tall and is based on a pattern from a japanese craft book. I put a little sign on him, just so that everyone can be sure who he is! Cheesy

10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Dolls with lacey tights & curvy figures! on: May 23, 2011 10:40:31 AM
Hi everyone,

I thought I would put up a few pictures of my latest batch of dolls. The first three came about after I discovered some coloured lace and I thought they would make nice tights!

And my most recent four were an experiment into making my dolls a bit more...well, curvy! They look a bit like they are silicone-enhanced, but I like them! Cheesy

The last one, with the blue dress is my favourite - I can't decide whether to keep her or sell her...I'd be sad to part with her, even though I haven't known her long Cheesy
Thank you for taking a look Craftsters!! xx
