1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / R2D2 Beanie on: May 13, 2013 09:07:35 PM

Finished this crocheted homage to the ever-so-cute R2D2. Pattern from my own imagination.
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Panda Baby! on: May 13, 2013 08:59:20 PM

I made this baby set for my sister's friend who just found out she is pregnant. I chose a panda because everyone loves pandas! And... they are gender neutral. The hat is in half double crochet, standard beanie with the eyes and nose cut from felt and sewn on. The ears are simple crocheted circles sewn on.

The diaper cover was adapted from this pattern: http://www.bustingstitches.com/2012/10/unfuzzys-giraffe-hat-and-diaper-cover.html
Again, the paw print was cut from felt and sewn on.

The baby converse were adapted from this pattern: http://thecrochetcrowd.com/free-baby-crochet-patterns-by-mikey/620-crochet-sweet-high-top-baby-booties.html
with my own "toe" section added in. I felt, after following the pattern exactly, that it looked strange without a toe and fooled around until I found something that worked.

Thanks! It's really really difficult for me to take a normal picture.
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Animal Hats on: September 19, 2011 12:10:06 PM
Like many a Christmas before, this year I am making all the presents I am to hand out this year. This year, crochet animal hats. What is wonderful about this project is that it is costing me NO money as all the leftover yarn in my house is going towards this project. It is also not just another hat. It's an ANIMAL hat. Who can resist the cute?

Kitty Cat Hat was the first one made and definitely the learning model. The others have steadily improved since this one and so this one I am keeping.

Owl Hat

Panda Hat

Also to come are Skunk, Beaver, Monkey, Dino, Lamb, Goat and Elephant
