4  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / How to beautify a safety rail on: September 27, 2012 02:02:49 PM
Hey Craftsters! I am an intermediate sewer and I need some suggestions! I recently re-decorated my daughters "big girl" room- nothing was overlooked! Since she was moving into a twin bed from a crib and a larger room, I tried to make the room as desirable as possible, to ease the transition. Well, I overlooked her need for a safety rail. The one I own is bright blue and completely standing out (in a bad way). I considered slip covering it, but was afraid to cover the breathable mesh part. How can I intergrate this necessary eye sore? This is a stock photo of what I'm working with. Her room is fushia, teal, and yellow. I have fabrics I could use, but I dont know how to go about it. Any ideas from this talented group would be greatly appreciated!

7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Day of the Dead Shrine on: June 14, 2012 07:47:22 PM
Yes, I cut the statue down so it would fit inside the shrine. I used a cheap wet saw- the kind used for cutting tile. I was able to cut through the base about half way and then I turned it over and cut through the rest. It wasn't pretty, but it worked! Let me know if you have any questions!
