24  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Re: new apartment, worried, discouraged. on: August 10, 2006 06:33:43 PM
Actually we're headed to the beach this weekend Smiley Although, anytime I'm around is good for a crafty get together.
A few years ago I moved from Arkansas to North Jersey (worked in Bergen Co, lived in Sussex Co). One of the first things I did was to get acquainted with the local library. I found lots of crafty people there.  I think it will be a wonderful - yet safe - adventure for you.
And if nothing else, you've got your craftster buddies for your artsy fix Smiley

Yes, it will be fine.

We'll put out a crafty APB for people in that area Smiley
I have to say, I absolutely love it up there. I live in Philly and spent the last week in upstate NY to escape the heat!

Hey, where in upstate are you going to be? I know of lots of cool people in the Cooperstown area.

I've used Denver Fabrics and Fabrics.com. Excellent service from both.
28  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: eating a Japanese diet -- need help! on: July 10, 2006 08:38:53 AM
I live on the Chester/Montgomery Co border and I end up going into Philly and stocking up on everything except produce.

So, where is this new Asian market? There is a little one in Frazer, and a slightly bigger one in Conshohocken - but if I'm going to Conshy - I might as well go on into the city Smiley

Actually hand wrapped button holes are something to look for in high quality clothing. They aren't too hard to do, but show a lot of care and time was taken.

Hope the link helps.
30  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: i can't for the life of me think of a name for my store on: June 23, 2006 07:23:18 PM
I always thought the song was
"Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy. A kid'll eat ivy too, wouldn't you?"

anyways, i like the name "one little cow"  it's cute sounding.

Jazz

I think you are right Jazz.  I always thought it was a non-sensical song.  It wasn't till this past year that I learned the words you quoted above!   Cheesy  It makes sense afterall!!

Kate

yeah, my husband and I debated on how to type it out ... I liked the nonsensical way (of course I used goats instead of does - because I forgot the words) because it reminds me of how confused I was the first several times I heard it.
My father in law (he's from the UK) sings it sooo fast that it sounds like a yodel!
