21  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Mexican Shrines on: May 23, 2012 04:59:16 PM

I bought these two cabinets at our local "Angels of Hope" thrift store. The Sacred Heart Shrine was made from a 1980's spice cabinet. The glass tiles around the top and bottom where found at the same store. The Red Shrine was a funky Christmas ornament holder/cabinet. I free handed the paint added some Loteria Cards and a leftover embroidery I had done a few months ago which turned out wrong. *( I added some fabric paint and now it looks great ). I spent a total of $4.50 and about 10 hours of elbow grease.

23  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Random Works Of ................. on: April 25, 2012 10:38:14 AM
Instead of separating every picture I just decided to bunch them all together. Once I started sewing all of my fabric scraps together to make ( quilting blocks? ) --still not sure what it will end up being-- they looked a little plain and I love to embroider at night while watching TV , so I started adding stitching and beads to each one. I was also working on embroidery patches during the day. Now I have a HUGE pile of awesomeness to work with. If I could only figure out what to make with them............

* smallest patch is 6x8

29  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Walking Dead Swap on: March 19, 2012 06:43:31 PM
After lasts night finale I think a Walking Dead swap is called for. Who's your favorite survivor? If the group split - Who would you follow? Who do you wish would get bit and die already? I don't want to host since I've never done it before and have no clue as to how hosting is done. Do I have any takers?
