1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Corsetry help! on: February 11, 2012 03:50:15 PM
Any one and I mean ANY ONE who has tips for getting bust gores to look right, please share. I'm having a devil of a time getting the point to look right. I keep getting 'buckles' and the point doesn't lay 'flat' the way it should. I appreciate any tips and tricks that any one has! Thank you Smiley
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / From curtains to corset! (A little pic heavy) on: November 04, 2011 10:02:01 AM
So I used part of a pattern that was for a halloween costume for the corset part. And I used remnant scraps from some curtains I shortened for a friend.
This is the curtain material. A nice burgundy. And I did a lining in silver lining material.
View of it mostly finished

This is a view once the finishing silver trim was added

3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Who-do VooDoo! on: October 31, 2011 10:39:23 AM
This is my costume I made.
Very creepy VooDoo doll Smiley
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / To carry all from point A to point B on: November 26, 2010 10:59:26 AM
This is a tote bag that I threw together in a few hours. The black is prequilted fabric, and the lining is a red satin. Accented with red piping. The strapping is much longer than traditional totes from the store which makes it easier to throw over your shoulder when full of goodies!

And recently I have made some other bags in different colors. The burgundy and beige ones have closures and can be used to carry groceries, or they hold full size cake pans Smiley
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / From a skirt to a dress on: August 29, 2010 12:56:02 PM
I originally made this skirt from a tutorial by rickrackruby. It was incredibly easy.

But then I lost a lot of weight and the skirt didn't fit anymore. So I made a few modifications and turned it into this really cute summer dress.
