642  Another of my melted bead lampshades :) in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by sweets4ever on: November 13, 2006 04:54:37 AM
Here's my first one: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=100703.0

And here's my second!  Smiley  I used a few strands of valentine heart beads and then a mix of multi facet beads to fill the gaps.  It's taller than the first one, so you can't see the bulb from any angle this time - yay!

I LOVE the hue it casts on the wall.

I haven't posted here in a while, so I thought I would add another lampshade I made a while back... Smiley

644  Gorilla & electrical tape artist portfolio in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by sweets4ever on: November 13, 2006 01:54:44 AM
I made this for my partner in a swap because she has lots of matted artwork & she wanted something to store 'em in.  Smiley

For the sides I used a sequined scarf & criss-crossed it with yarn just for extra support.

The flower design is from a purse on her Wists.

645  Beaded Eggshell decorations/ornaments in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by sweets4ever on: November 13, 2006 01:46:14 AM
I made these for a swap.  My partner likes to make Christmas ornaments, so I made her some all-year-round ornaments; one decoupaged with floral because she loves yellow roses, the other with astrological stuff because she loves science. Smiley

646  Edvard Munch, The Scream - Altered Book in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by sweets4ever on: November 13, 2006 01:40:50 AM
I made this for a swap.  Smiley  One of her favorite paintings is Edvard Munch's, The Scream.  The concept was inspired by this gentleman's creations.

...the words say, "Lucky for me, we dream."

I didn't tear out the page 'cause I wasn't sure if she would want it framed or not.
I tied it with ribbon & a tag that said, "Turn to page 67."

647  Re: HOdown: the gallery in The Swap Gallery by sweets4ever on: November 12, 2006 09:55:49 PM
And yes, it is true, sweets has spolied me to the max with her craftiness. I'm sure she will be posting pictures before I can, but rest assured I will return with lots of stories about unwrapping everything. Grin

Here are some pix of what I sent my dear, sweet Modus!  Smiley

Everything... Smiley

She likes to make Christmas ornaments, so I made her some all-year-round ornaments.
Eggs...one with floral because she loves yellow roses, the other with astrological stuff because she loves science. Smiley

A storage portfolio for her artwork from Gorilla & electrical tape because she has lots of 11x14 matted artwork & needs something to store 'em all in.
I made it quite a bit bigger, but I'm sure she can stuff it full!

For the sides I used a sequined scarf & criss-crossed it with yarn just for extra support.

The flower design is from a purse on her Wists.

She likes macro photography, so I matted two of my photographs...a yellow rose (one of her favorite flowers) and a flutterby.  Grin

Some bought stuff... the "Wish" mug is for all you hos out there that wish you could have been on our date! Cheesy
Holiday pez, a funny kitty calendar for her love of her putty tat & a jumbo pen, 'cause I'm a dork like that!  Grin
There was a little photocard & a painted photograph/artpiece by two other artists,  but I don't think I snagged any good pix of them.

Book artwork inspired by this guy's shop and one of her favorite paintings, The Scream.  Smiley

I didn't tear out the page 'cause I wasn't sure if she would want it framed or not.
I tied it with ribbon & a tag that said, "Turn to page 67."

The book is blue (one of her favorite colors), but I have no idea what it's about - lol.
I got it from a library that was throwing out/giving away books many years ago.

648  Re: cherry blossom (well not exactly) necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by sweets4ever on: November 10, 2006 07:18:03 PM
Ahh.. .sounds wonderful!!  I can't wait to see pix of your wedding!

I think (depending on which reception site we get) we are going to hang cranes on the wall behind our head table (so they are all over the place behind us).

Like this...

I also want to maybe kinda sort do something with simple flowers, like this:

649  Tree Guestbook in Weddings and Bridal Showers by sweets4ever on: October 30, 2006 05:02:56 PM
I made this for Kittykill for her wedding this coming weekend!  Smiley  Their theme is Day of the Dead/Voodoo/Tiki - so, those typical white lace-covered books just wouldn't do justice!

Please don't think, "Wow.  You made her a dead tree.  How sweet!" 'cause it gets better, I swear!  Tongue

Instructions for the guests...

Acid free, archival ink... yay.

So I'm not responsible for burning her wedding down. Wink  They flicker just like flames...tee hee.

Hopefully once everyone has left their name or note to her & hubby, the whole tree will be full of leaves of love & wisdom.  Kiss  I hope they like it!

Ok, okay!!  Here they are!  Smiley

Here's everything!!

The best bag EVER!  I've never been able to find a perfect bag for my cameras, lenses & accessories but Modus did!!  AND... she painted beautiful blossoms on it for me.  Smiley  Our wedding theme (mine & my fiance's not mine & Modus's - geez!) is going to be plum blossoms, so I have a slight fondness of all that is blossom right now!   Grin

Little furry magnets - woohoo!
An adorable box with an elephant painted one it just for meee.. in one of my favorite colors combos as well!
A little wooden compact mirror with itty bitty paintings on it, too!
And she's just crazy I tell you!  Chocolates that looks like rolls of film!  Cheesy

I got the Pink Ho Award!!!  I know you are all jealous, so just simmer down. Cheesy  I feel so... honored... I mean... I don't have a speech prepared or anything!
The J & J are engagement presents for us *girly giggle*  We don't have any his/hers things, so I'm so silly goofy over these.  They are going to go on a shelf in our office.  Smiley

Modus is a sneaky one, I tell ya!  I was swooning over a jewelry set she made, so she made me one of my very own!  I was sooo excited when I opened the little bag with these inside.

Thank you so much my ho-lishious Modus.. you are the bestest ho in the ho wide world.  Smiley  Kiss  Smiley
