This ROCKS. So flipping hard. If this won't be a featured project I'll be gobsmacked.  Grin

I hit "this rocks" because it certainly does. WOW!

I would love to see good close-ups and explanation of how exactly the joints work, if you don't mind! Smiley

Beautiful. One of my favourite visual journal pages I've seen here! I bookmarked this page so I can stare at them again easily. Smiley

(I also like that the personal stuff isn't obvious, like, "I broke my bike today" or something, lol. I think it just makes it more personal when the actual meaning isn't visible to anyone but you, or perhaps the people involved.)
5  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Dollar Store Brush Makeover's Part Three... on: April 25, 2010 11:38:31 AM
The sea horse one is def. my favourite - I *love* the texture of the sea! (Plus my favourite colour is blue, which helps too, lol.)

I love the animation! Very Burton-esque, I thought I as well. I think the gloomish appearance goes really with the happy ending. (Loved your photography too, btw, in that March 2010 video. Very beautiful.) Hm, I wonder if you could post the movie in the more art, less craft section? Feels like a bit of a waste to post just these pics and link the movie as a sort of side dish. Smiley
7  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: My Daredevil thread painting quilts on: April 25, 2010 10:44:50 AM
Just hit "this rocks" because this really does rock. I know nothing of thread painting, but these look like they demanded a lot of patience, esp. the last one with its city landscape! (Any chance of a close-up?)

Craft Challenge #47 - Reusable Shopping Bag Challenge 2 - Due Feb 1 - Feb 7

This month, your challenge is to create a shopping bag from materials that might otherwise be thrown away and perhaps sent to a landfill.  You can use other craft supplies and components, but the result should feature the disposable item(s) as the focal point of the project.  Your completed bag should be at least as big as a typical paper or plastic grocery bag, but it can be bigger.
will it count if I make something out of old jeans?
as long as its a shopping bag it should be good to go.

Yep, as long as it's something you would otherwise throw away, it's okay.  Use your best judgment on this since obviously refuse varies from person to person.

Personally, I would never throw a pair of jeans away, so I couldn't use jeans as my disposable material of choice.
Uh... what if I don't really throw anything away if I think I can figure out a way to use it? What I'm thinking of is certainly something most people would toss, but before I'd read about this challenge I'd already decided I wouldn't do that - I could use them as cleaning rags if nothing else. So... am I going to have figure out a shopping bag out of mandarin peels or something? Tongue (Which I was actually saving for, y'know, something, but my dad threw them out. Roll Eyes )

(First post, btw, but long-time lurker. I'm glad I joined. This seems like fun!)
