1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: The 22 year long scrap quilt project... on: February 12, 2010 08:59:33 AM
I like that you collected all those pieces of fabric then made and remade
a family treasure. Thanks for sharing....

2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Rainbow Star Quilt on: February 06, 2010 09:20:53 AM
Hi,

I made this for my son's baseball team fund raising auction. I hand dyed the
fabrics and pieced it and had a friend with a long arm quilting machine do the
quilting, then I finished it out. I'm contemplating making another for our wall here.
I love the Lone Star pattern....

3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: Should I start an etsy account? on: February 01, 2010 08:53:48 AM
While you're pondering take a look at Artfire.com. It's an up and coming craft selling
online marketplace. I have a shop there.......it was easy to set up and manage,
the cost is very reasonable and I have made some sales.

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Tie-dyed shirts on: January 28, 2010 10:13:44 AM
Hi CraftyLittleLady,

I've had a tie dye business for quite a while.....basically I started by reading, researching and watching tie dyeing videos from the library. Now, there are tie dyeing movies on YouTube. But, like other skills, you just get better the more you do it and the more you start experimenting. For me it has become addictive.... If you have any specific questions just send me a PM. I'd love to help....

5  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Discussion and Questions / Re: What kind of dyeing you do? on: January 28, 2010 09:52:43 AM
Hi!

I'm a newbie too...First I want to say to TanyaDesign, beautiful dyeing and to raminthethicket, love your colors and the gradations of your wool and that's quite an informative article on formulating colors.

My line is, "I dye a little more everyday", referring to being in the "tie dye" business for about 14 years. I sell my wares at a local Farmer's Market and numerous Festivals May through October and online year round. I also love sharing the art of tie dye to groups. My website is a work in progress but if you want to know more please visit it at 2dye4.biz.

Glad to have found you here,
Jo
