About to send in my Q. I love starlings! A couple of weeks ago there were some outside of my work imitating Red-winged Blackbirds, and I totally fell for it. Listening to cardinals this a.m., and waiting for the rest to show up!
I just discovered this craftalong thread yesterday, and haven't been able to do anything else until I read it all. These are all amazing! I'm lamenting things I had to get rid of when I moved that would be perfect for tiny houses, but now I wonder if I'll ever be able to throw anything away ever again. A house from a deodorant tube! Who'da thunk it?
Any love for raptors on here? I would kill for a tiny red tailed hawk or a kestrel. But I would totally love a northern flicker or a starling even though they are mean little buggers. Ack. Too much to decide. I guess what I am trying to say is: I would like to sign up.
Always love for raptors! I am a big fan, and have spent time with kestrels, they're pretty fantastic! Red Tails are beautiful, and starlings and flickers are also lovely.
I would be more than happy to craft for any of the "less desired" birds, especially vultures and raptors. Just sayin'.
How about applying the glue with a credit card (or the like) as a sort of scrape or trowel. That way you would get a flat surface even without the pressing (I assume) I think it would be easier if the glue was watered down in any instance.
So why glue? There are so many different sealants on the market that do the trick wonderfully
I use glue when I use paper cutouts to help hold things where they're supposed to be, as well as seal the whole thing.
