Here's my best pic of the shirt... and I guess I didn't get a great pic of the magnets either--hard to photograph!

Embroidered owl brooch

Ruffled altered t-shirt to wear under a cardigan

Oh, the possibilities! Thanks Essence! I will still try to get an action shot here sometime...just hasn't worked out yet!

14  Re: Birds Birds Birds r2 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by lindsay614 on: June 14, 2010 08:11:06 PM
I received from Sugaree! I only got one photo that turned out, but luckily it's a group shot. There's a lovely bird/flower pin (resembles a floral "nest"), a silver necklace with turquoise accents, 3 stuffed owls, and a small piece of birdy wall art. This whole package is so great--she used all of my favorite colors (earthtones, green, blue and grey) and really sent some cool stuff. Love the wearables...

That bird is going to hang in my new craft room, and I can't wait. Thanks sugaree!

I am in love with the package I received from dharma_rebel! She and I have very similar Wists, so she nailed my tastes! My computer is about to die, so I am going to post everything with photos right now, and then come in later and fill in the details.  Grin Grin Grin

Pillow covers! On my couch right now as I type---beautiful fabrics, beautiful colors that match my living room.  Grin

Keroppi pouch, business card holder and tiny owl pouch. Cute, cute!

Keroppi pouch, opened

Another shot of the business card holder and pouch, opened...

Keychains and a mushroom which I'm going to turn into a very useful pin cushion for my craft room! The keychains I instantly recognized from a book I've been wisting after for quite some time, "Cute Stuff." I told Rachel I loved objects with cute faces, and boy did she deliver!

Owl and mushroom earrings... love these so much!

Favorite! Tiny embroidered art! I love everything about this... Thank you, thank you, thank you! Also, Rachel wrote a note saying she has one more thing to send, some wall art, that was too big to fit in the box, so she's mailing separately. After all this, I cannot believe there's more...

8 cute notecards! Rachel and I both share a love of trees, leaves and nature prints, and I love the images she picked out.  Cool

Fabric basket/organizer--I love this and have similar things all over my Wist!!

The whole package--she also included an owl tin and a tiny button. Ahhhh, so much stuff, and I am in love with it all. Thank you, thank you!

16  Re: I <3 Owls Swap Gallery Sendouts 6/7/10 in The Swap Gallery by lindsay614 on: June 07, 2010 06:33:41 PM
I received from Jennilocker today! All kinds of owlicious stuff in one box! Here are the pics, and I will do my best to describe...

Awesome antique-looking owl earrings! Dangly, just how I like them. I really think these are so cute--thanks Jennifer!

A felted owl bag! I have never owned anything felted before... and there's a coin pouch too!

Owl painting, inspired by my Wist, owl gift box and ceramic pail. This will be great for odds and ends Smiley

Owl trivet for my kitchen, a felted owl pin, and two pictures of trees she picked out at an estate sale. I love trees and nature images, so this was super thoughtful!

An extra, a knit bag with colorful stripes! Though she didn't make this, the colors and style are so bright and fresh--great for summer.  Grin

The whole package--she also made 5 owl notecards (shown in the center), and sent a ceramic owl pail, a tiny green owl box, from my Wist, and a purse sewing pattern (very useful!)

Thanks Jennifer! For sending such a thoughtful, owly package, and also for being such a great organizer!

17  Vintage Bingo Card Lamp in CHALLENGE 51 ENTRIES by lindsay614 on: June 06, 2010 05:59:17 PM
This is more of a work in progress, but I wanted to post and share with the other Craftsters, since it was inspired by this challenge. I am so amazed by some of the entries so far, so just know that my vote will be going elsewhere!  Wink

However, I was at a yard sale a few weeks ago, and scored these two awesome games for a QUARTER each. Yes!

I absolutely loved the vintage bingo game, especially the awesome box top, which I plan to use as wall art. The Mr. T card game is too precious to cut up or glue at this point, so it's going to stay a game.

I thought the bingo cards had such a cool look that I wanted to incorporate into my living space in an unconventional way. I went shopping for a lamp and shade at a local antique shop. Stripped the shade and dusted off the old lamp. The bingo cards are simply taped on here in rows until I get the final configuration. (Wanting to see what they'll look like side-by-side instead of overlapped.) But I'm super happy with the red and blue rows, so that element is definitely staying.

Thoughts? Anyone know how I could easily adjust the inner wire on the lampshade so that the top and bottom rings are the same circumference? (As is, the bottom is wider, meaning I have to overlap the cards.) Wire cutters, or bend the wire in on the bottom ring? It's pretty thick.

18  Anyone else obsessed with The Bachelor / The Bachelorette? (Mini swap) in New Swap Theme Ideas by lindsay614 on: June 02, 2010 10:33:22 AM
Do you regularly partake in the guilty pleasure that is ABC's The Bachelor?

TV swaps are popular on Craftster, however, I'm definitely a reality TV girl. In fact, check out this awesome Bachelor-inspired rose. When I told tracethekat I was Bachelor obsessed, she made me this awesome little memento to tide me over between seasons!

This had me wondering... if there's enough interest, I'd love to organize a low-pressure, Bachelor / Bachelorette Mini Swap (3 points) inspired by the show. It would be the perfect way to combine two of my loves, crafting and Bachelor blogging. Any takers?

Sooooo glad you liked everything! Here's another pic, which shows the other side of the teapot cozy, and I had another one I shot of the dresses close up. Smiley

I received from SloanLaw...Check out my big old box of fabric, felt, yarn, raffia, wood cutouts, scrapbook cutouts, letter stencils, fabric binding (awesome!), ribbon (yeay!), lace, hem facing, and confetti. Love the red scissors fabric and orange and brown floral fabric--I'll have fun quilting with these.

Thanks!
