11  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: "Pretty Puff Slouchy Hat" in Blue-Lavender on: June 14, 2010 07:18:22 AM
That looks great! I tried my hand at knitting too but didn't have the patience for it. Crochet is definitely more fun, once you get the hang of it and understand the patterns.

I remember trying to make this hat when I first printed the pattern... thinking I could get away with the tiniest hook in the world!! In Malaysia, it was difficult to walk into a craft store and find larger size hooks, so I settled for the teeny one I had, and when I was halfway through, I realized then that this hat would look better on one of my sister's dolls cos it sure wouldn't fit me!! LOL!!

I FINALLY ordered a set of larger crochet hooks on Ebay and just got them in the mail today, yay!! Can't wait to start on the pattern again. Cheesy

OMG, so gorgeous!! If you're saying it's complicated, I'm gonna have season my brain and fingers with a bunch of patterns before making this! Looking forward to purchasing the pattern!! Cheesy

Aww... I know how you feel... but don't worry abt it! I guess it partly has to do with the pics...

But this hat (and your pretty lab) certainly caught my attention! I just bought a set of large crochet hooks that I'd like to use to make hats, and yours grabbed my atttention.

Way cool!!

15  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / UPDATED! Greenie bracelet and other thingies... on: April 14, 2010 06:25:01 AM
I bought these shell beads on ebay and couldn't figure out what to do with them until I turned my bead collection upside down for inspiration.... and came up with this little piece.

Blue has always been my favorite color, but this doesn't look too bad, with the yellow glass beads.

What do you think??

**UPDATED**

Here are more designs I came up with... I keep thinking that maybe funky bracelets and necklaces may not catch on, hence, these "safe" designs... but now I'm seriously thinking tht maybe I should go all kooky and nuts!! But for now, these are what I have...

LOL! So cool!

I would have given "her" more hip though, but it is an awesome cake.

Great job!!
17  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / More bracelets! on: February 18, 2010 07:46:24 AM
I love blue! That would explain the stash of blue beads I have in stock! LOL!!

I've come up with an all blue bracelet, complete with lampwork focal beads, and for the second one, mixed it up with red beads.

C&C welcomed!
