My family has just moved into a new house, so I went thrifting for some furniture for my room. I nabbed this cool office chair for $10, but the fabric was dirty, old, and an ugly poop yellow color. It had to go.

This was my first reupholster, and it's not perfect, but I'm really happy with the result.

Okay, so I know this post is about 3 months late, but bear with me  . For this past Halloween my boyfriend and I decided to be Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage.

Regular old scotch tape. It held up pretty well hahah.

My cousin is due to have her baby soon this month, so I wanted to make little Eleanor Elizabeth a "welcome to the world!" gift.

This was my first attempt ever at making a stuffed toy. It's made with really soft fleece and cotton fabric and is stuffed with Cluster Stuff. The nose and mouth are hand stitched, as well as part of the left eye. My sewing machine decided to go wonky on me halfway through the eye so it's kind of messy.

I'd been working on this on & off over the past two months I would say, & just finished it this morning (hence the I-just-woke-up look). It took exactly one skein of Lion Brand Microspun; I literally was left with about 2 inches of yarn after fastening off. No pattern, completely winged, & happy with the outcome.

I came up with the idea a few weeks ago. I think he'll get a kick out of it.

I was browsing through the UO website & found this crochet scarf. Naturally, I fell in love with the stitch.

Unfortunately, I know I wouldn't be able to figure it out for my life. Does anybody know which stitch this is? Or can somehow figure out how to do it? If so, please share!

Inspired by the headband by natiux (thanks natiux!), I whipped these up in the time it takes to watch Back to the Future, & later on the latest episode of Top Chef. I loved that!

Patons Classic Wool Merino in Dark Grey & some beads from a broken necklace.
Single, double, & front-cross stitches.


Same yarn as above, plus Lion Brand Trellis in Copper Penny.
Single, treble, & front-cross stitches (treble instead of double).

They both tie in the back as opposed to going all the way around.

I went to my old school's prom on Friday. The day before was my graduation ceremony, & I skipped out on Grad Night at Disneyland to go. I didn't want to wear the same dress I wore to my prom, so I whipped this one up after my graduation & on the day of prom.

My prom date (whom I haven't talked to in 2 years prior to that night) & I on the right.

No pattern, just straight out of my head. I got the fabric off of www.fabric.com a little less than a year ago, I'm guessing, & if I remember correctly, it's lycra. It's kind of thin, so I had to use these stickers that keep hard nips at bay. The trim is the wrong side of the fabric. I gathered the front & just hid the loose threads. Overall cost: $0.00.

I wish I had made this for my own prom, I like it a lot better than the dress that I bought.
