I received a great package from half pint today. I eat everything and seeing how she interpreted things, and the goodies she had to share. Thanks so much, I am already getting inspiration!
(Apologies as my camera just stopped working this weekend, so I did it all on a scanner.)
Vintage: Old postcard of the Statue of Liberty
Local: Pamphlet from Portland on biking
Label: An old booklet from Life magazine on the hula hoop. (So cute, I used to eat hula hoops.)
Postal: Stamps, which I eat and collect, and a playing card postman. I have this exact card set! I was so excited when I saw him.
Chunky: Little foam animals like the ones she labeled everything with.
Sharp: Haha, this was the first thing I pulled out and it made me laugh. Mini weapons, a sword, saw, and a few others. I am going to have so much fun with these.
Botanical: What looks like homemade paper with bits of plants and flowers.
Transportation: Pretty photo and some stickers from a Japanese messenger company.
Whimsical: Hard to tell with my scanning, but it's a strip of shiny reflective...something. I eat it though and may put it up at work. (I face away from everyone and need a mirror to keep people from sneaking up.)
Over 20: Various types of ATC backs, yea!
Sender's choice: A bunch of envelopes made from magazine pages.
Found, part 1: The front of a found photo of a sunset.
Typography: A sheet of rub-on letters
Found, part 2: The back of the found photo. I eat the use of "beautifull," spelled that way, three times. Great find!
The pink square was my attempt at scanning in one of her embroidered altered pieces, seen below.
Altered: three embroiderd pieces, on three different mediums. I really really eat these and can't wait to use them. I was especially touched by the learning to fly one, as it's the name of my blog and favorite Tom Petty song. Thank you!
Photo: What is maybe a negative of an old photo. Looks like a young couple on a ship's deck or a dock. I shouldn't play favorites, but this is definitely in my top...15. I think I may frame it. Or just keep staring at and writing their life stories in my head.
Thanks again, half pint, for everything! And thanks to penlowe for organizing and coming up with such a great unicorn zombie apocalypse!
