Here are 2 ATC's I finished last week.

I've just finished a painting to add to my series of oil paintings of celebrities in blue. One of my favorite singers, Michael Jackson. I'm going to do another one of him too, from a different time period. I like how this one turned out though.

I found some decks of cards in my studio the other day, so I decided they would be perfect for ATC's. I think I'm going to alter the whole deck! This is my first one, called 3 of Hearts.

This is an altered hangtag I made this week. Had fun with this one!

This piece was done on a scrap piece of chipboard I had. I covered it with scrapbook paper, added a vintage image that I transferred to cardstock, some stickers, distressed cardstock with stamped letters, a photo of a butterfly, some brads, a button and some ribbon (I think that's all of it, LOL).

These are some wooden hearts I did this past week...covered them with scrapbook paper, vintage images, distressed cardstock that I stamped the words on, stickers and some ribbon.

This is an altered Kraft envelope I made for a monthly challenge at a Ning community I belong to. The theme for the challenge was "She..." so mine is titled, "She...Writes Love Letters." It's about 4-1/2 x 6-1/2". Lots of stamping, stickers, and some sewing and decoupage used. I really had fun making this one and I love how it turned out. 

I created 2 new altered art goodies while in my studio today,so just thought I'd share. The first is an altered notecard, and the second is an altered hangtag. 

I am looking for magazines about Altered Arts. I found one cool one called Altered Arts, but they have gone digital. I don't want digital. I like printed magazines so I can save my favorite projects and ideas. I don't like to print out my own because it takes too much darn ink! I'd spend more on ink than I would an actual magazine and I don't want to do that.

I got a Somerset Studio magazine the other day, but I can't buy those all the time...they are like $15 each! It is full of great ideas and inspiration though.

I am just finding it really hard to find print magazines on this topic. I have some great books and will use those a lot. But I was also hoping for some monthly or bimonthly inspiration to come in my mailbox. Does anyone get any in the mail that I don't know about?

I'm going to keep watching Ebay for back issues, and that Altered Arts magazine does have some back issues I may get one at a time. But I keep hoping to find something current too.

I just finished today my very first official altered art project. It is a present for my sister, whose birthday is on Valentine's Day (just as a side note, her first daughter was also born on Valentine's Day!). It's on an 8x10 canvas that I painted with fluid acrylics and then added all the other items too. The heart is 3 layers of fabric that I sewed together, plus a transparency image of my sis and I when we were little.
