1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Round and round we go :) on: March 02, 2010 01:28:10 PM
I made this bag today in about an hour I think the hardest part was the handles Smiley  (It is the first one I have ever made)
If I did it again I would make it a bit bigger. The thing I am proud of is it has a square bottom which you cannot see on this picture but I am so proud of it Smiley
Best thing about the material is it cost me 1 a metre because it was in remnants Smiley
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Valentines box :) on: January 25, 2010 03:16:50 PM

This is the first time I have ever done this so I am really happy and proud of my outcome. Compared to the others I know it won't win, but I have tried Smiley
It is set around all the stuff that I used on a scrapbook for my ex boyfriend (I thought I best use some of it up.) We broke up last year the day before Valentines Day, which his come back was, well I was going to propose to you tomorrow. So this I suppose is my interpretation of how that day may have turned out if things had turned out that way Smiley
I am sorry for the bad camera quality but hey Smiley my camera is having a mad one recently Smiley

So the matchbox started out like this Smiley

It then miraculously turned into this, the box has been covered with a cream paper with gold dots on it, which has has a 3D heart sticker placed on top of it. The box is opened via the beaded puller on the front. Containing 4 gold beads and one blue heart.

Inside of this box was a piece of paper rolled up all nicely, surrounded by 4 hearts (the 5 hearts represent the 5 times me and the ex broke up and got back together)

The piece of paper folded out says 'To my dearest, I love you and never want to lose you. On this valentine's I swear to always love you. Will you marry me? Love XO' Written on a really nice handmade paper with rose petals in.

Underneath the four heart is a piece of red card which has a tab on it, to which it lead to a beautiful bunch of flowers made of tissue paper and a heart pendant on a necklace (made out of a pipe cleaner)

The flowers look awesome in real life but my camera does them no justice what so ever, the flowers themselves are pink and blue. The pink is to match the pink heart sticker on the front of the box and the blue is to match the hearts inside and out the box.

Then finally this is all of it together Smiley

I really enjoyed doing this challenge. I did it all in about 2 hours. I am ill at the moment so it has helped me take my mind off of things Smiley
C&C are appreciated Smiley
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Beauty isn't everything on: January 24, 2010 04:46:27 PM

This is a piece of card that has a piece of material cross stitched onto it via the corners. (That was hard work trust me) I then found a page in an old book of an goblin, which are not profound for their beauty. I then backstitched beauty on to him. Cross stitched him onto the card and then sharpie'd on 'is not everything' This photo does no justice for it as the beauty is actually stitched in a beautiful purple thread. It was inspired by having to make a postcard to send to SpookyPooky on here and I wasn't too sure where it should go, due to the hard work of backstitching on paper I think it deserves to be here Smiley
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Stay Golden.. on: January 23, 2010 02:44:57 PM

This was my other Step brother's quote that I did for my best friend Smiley I was so proud of how they both came out as it was my first attempt and I did them the night before I gave them, them I started at 10pm and finished at 4am. This was for two pieces though Smiley I felt like a hunchback after Smiley
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Eye of betrayal on: January 23, 2010 08:26:39 AM
I tend to do abstract art when painting and this is one of my favourite ones. The colours I chose because at the time I was angry=red
jealous=green

I have a bit of brown in my eyes hence the brown part, which also stands for the pupil and the yellow is there because although I was pretending to be happy I was lying as deep down the other colours were over taking. Hence the name eye of betrayal, because although you may be pretending your happy, the eye can always betray you and show people how you really are feeling.
