1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: excellent first sweater on: June 14, 2010 02:25:53 AM
For those who wanted the stitch pattern -this youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieHRRYpFC14 seems to be it.

I really really like this jumper - think I need to make something like it for myself. Once I've finished a few other projects

Thanks for the link zowiewoahie - problem is I'm in Australia and it looks like the shipping cost won't make it worthwhile (especially if they don't end up fitting right).

Psycho_Bitch: Thanks for the information - I think I'm currently about a 32DD/E, so if they hold you up, they should work with me Smiley. I'm assuming you mucked around with the sizing, as the burda pattern only goes to a D

Wow - I'm very impressed. How hard is it to make bras and undies? I would love to make some bras for myself (yes, women who have big breasts and smallish underbust measurements actually want pretty affordable bras? who would have thought it?), but my sewing experience is a bit limited (as in the only sewing I've down in the last 3 year is making a pair of pyjama pants last Sunday). Do you get good support in them?

It rocks
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: a story of hoods, and granny squares on: April 15, 2010 03:44:26 AM
These are definitely gorgeous. I'm jealous of your daughters - I want a pointed hook jacket. I also really like the granny squares adding the extra bits of interest - makes it seem more elfish to me. The colouring is really sweet as well.

It rocks.
5  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Hmmm..lots of.....yarn? on: January 27, 2010 03:16:57 PM
I'll say that crochet is easier as well - but not if you have fluffy yarns as it becomes very hard to see where you should put in the hook (having said that fluffy yarns hides mistakes better (but this is true for knitting and crochet))

I have seen some pretty awesome bracelets just made from the chain

So are these challenges still going ahead? I would love something to broaden my hroizons...
