So I FINALLY found a top suitable for my costume!  Cheesy Now all I have to do is sew in the white ruffles around the neck and I'm done with my costume, Grin YAY!! I'm considering still making my hubbys costume just incase he ends up coming home from work early, fingers crossed Wink And btw my daughter's changed their minds yet again about their costumes and are now going to be a bumble bee and a lady bug. I told them no more switching though as I already have the costumes! Cheesy

23  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: I need help finding a pattern! on: October 10, 2011 11:05:38 AM
Thank you all so much for the advice! The reason I want to make universal covers is I have 3 toddlers who all have different brand toddler car seats. It would be easier for me to make all 3 from one pattern so therefor I need a universal pattern. I'm starting to get an idea of how I can do it, but please do keep the ideas comin! I can't believe there isn't a tutorial out there for something like this. When I do start putting these together I think I'm going to make one for everyone else out there who wants to make one Wink
24  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / I need help finding a car seat cover pattern! on: October 09, 2011 06:59:43 PM

So I have been scouring the internet for a few months now for a pattern for a universal toddler car seat cover such as the ones above. I've found them for sale all over the place but I would rather make them myself. It looks simple enough but I just can't quite dissect how to make it. So if you know of any free tutorials or patterns out there could you please leave a link or if you think you may have an idea of how its made please help me out. Thank you so much all my craftster friends!!

P.S.
I know about all the dangers of adding anything extra to a child's car seat so I really don't want yet another lecture about it, I just need help with a pattern. Sorry if that came off rude at all, thank you!

Well I got my skirt all finished up and I love it, now I just need to work on my top! But unfortunitly my husband just found out he might be out of town for work on Halloween Cry I've already worked so hard on my costume though that I think I'll just try to find a lil popeye doll to carry if he can't make it.
