amazing. I'm curious though, how would you seal the colours? Is varnish going to harm the pigments?
The egg yolks do a pretty good job of sealing it off, I put a layer of egg whites over top which makes it even more secure. I've also tried some beeswax which gives it a neat texture and does the same job. I'm sure varnish would work too but I'm trying to stay away from it!
Here's my newest painting made from natural pigments (clay, paprika, charcoal, henna, chalk) with egg yolk as a binder on wood. I'll take another picture when it's sunny out! It's hard to capture the correct colors
