21  Re: OTHPT4 Gallery of Tiny Wonders in The Swap Gallery by rjannelle on: July 17, 2013 08:41:49 PM
Ok here's what I made for you MissGoguen... ps sorry everyone for the image heavy post!

"Fantastic Beasts" by Newt Scamander... it's a journal of sorts containing notes for his publication "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" Wink

I was a little overzealous considering I've never made a book before... let alone hand bound anything... lol

I really hope you get this! I'll be so sad if you don't!

Aaaaand that's it. Hope y'all like it!

rjannelle, you have quoted an image, which is against Craftster Rules*.  No biggie though, you just need to edit your post and remove the [img] tags in the quote. Grin

*Rule: KEEP CRAFTSTER TIDY-Don't Quote Images-Please don't quote images from other posts. Quoting an image increases load time for that thread. When quoting another post, please remove the [IMG] tag from within the quote to disable from image.

Whoops sorry pinkleo! It's been fixed.

24  Sketches from the past year in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by rjannelle on: April 29, 2013 11:58:31 AM
I haven't posted much in the past few years because I was so busy with school Sad. Now that I'm done my undergrad (yay!) I thought I'd post some of my sketches from the past year (from newest to oldest). Hopefully I'll have more time for art and crafting now because I really miss it!

Bad Ass - I just drew this guy last night after watching The Place Beyond the Pines. I really need to practice drawing portraits again, I'm a bit rusty  Undecided

Fawn - I'd like to turn this drawing into a watercolor painting

Demon Rider - This image was inspired by a dream.

25  "el fauno y la luna" - watercolor FINALLY DONE in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by rjannelle on: March 05, 2013 05:15:41 PM
I've been fixated on this image for the past 5 days and I'm finally done YAYYYY. This is my first COMPLETED watercolor painting so I have a lot to work on! I'm not particularly happy with the tree portion of the background... so clearly I need to practice my backgrounds! I was so rushed to get this piece done that I think the composition suffered. Otherwise, I'm really REALLY happy with how the subjects turned out Smiley PS of all things to really mess up I completely effed my signature Angry oh well, I'll probably cut that out anyways Tongue Here it is:

And a close up

C&C appreciated!

26  el fauno y la luna in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by rjannelle on: March 03, 2013 11:17:25 AM
This is the finished drawing of "el fauno y la luna" (I changed the name a little bit). The faun was heavily influenced by Pan's Labyrinth and the fairy was somewhat influenced by the girl but mostly the idea is from my own head. I just used pencil and sketchpad paper but I plan on using the image for a watercolor painting. I also hate drawing fabric because I can't seem to get the folds right but I think the dress turned out alright here. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy it Smiley

27  la luna y el fauno in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by rjannelle on: March 02, 2013 11:11:26 AM
I drew this handsome guy last night after watching Pan's Labyrinth. I still have to draw 'la luna' but I'm super happy with how he turned out. I think I might use this image to do a watercolor painting (I love the look of watercolor but I haven't had many changes to paint in that medium). Anyways, I hope you all like him Smiley C & C appreciated!

28  The lion and the owl repurposed watches in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by rjannelle on: February 09, 2013 08:41:32 PM
I got my idea for this from a pin (pinterest addict right here) Cheesy Someone had taken vintage watches and put old pictures of family members into them. Since I got these watches from a thrift store and had no emotional attachment to them I decided to fill them with artwork of my favorite animals. I LOOOOOOVE barn owls and big cats!!

This was the most annoyingly tedious craft I've undertaken in a while but I think it was worth it. So... y'all better like it Wink

The guts

Another option that I decided against.. I still really like it though so I might save it for a rainy day

I have to figure out what to do with the clock faces because I like them too much to throw away... any ideas fellow craftsters?

Thanks for looking Smiley

29  Beaded wrap bracelets in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by rjannelle on: April 09, 2012 10:14:13 AM
Last night I was feeling super guilty because I literally have been laying on the couch for the past 3 days instead of doing homework. But, I had already started watching The Fellowship of the Ring, so I made these 3 bracelets instead Cheesy I didn't intend to do this but the colors really remind me of spring! I think the green one is my favorite. Enjoy!

30  Leather wrap green jade bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by rjannelle on: March 03, 2012 08:29:44 PM
It has been far far too long since I've posted anything in craftster!

I saw a tutorial for this bracelet online and decided I had to make one for myself. I used 2mm brown leather cord, jade beads, green sewing thread, and a jewel charm for the clasp.

You can find the tutorial here: http://www.rings-things.com/blog/2011/03/08/how-to-make-wrapped-leather-bracelets/#.T1LucvFBt2B

Hope you all like my rendition of the leather wrap bracelet Smiley
