11  Re: WWP Round 44 Mabon Swap (SU 7-29 to 8-15, SO 9-10) in The Swap Gallery by rjannelle on: October 08, 2013 05:28:39 PM
I think I might be the last to receive but definitely not least!

I received a lovely owl from MamanTattoo today Cheesy I just adore it!! Maman used upcycled wool and put a red felt heart in the inside filled with lavender and St. Johns wort to help me relax. It's so soft and smells clean and refreshing Smiley

Thanks Maman!! It was definitely worth the wait Grin

Here's what I made for MamanTattoo. She doesn't have access to the internet right now so I'll post pictures. We decided not to spoil because she's busy moving into her new home Smiley

Maman wanted a representation of the wheel of the year to hang on her wall and this is what I came up with. The leaves turn as you go around the wheel and represent the four seasons. In the middle, I've painted Pan The Horned God and Elen the Green Lady. I used canvas fabric and acrylic paints. I hope you all like it Cheesy

13  Fantastic Beasts - Newt Scamander's secret notebook!! (From OTHPT Swap) in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by rjannelle on: July 18, 2013 05:46:19 PM
I recently made this for my partner in the One Tiny Harry Potter Theme Swap. It's an "early notebook" or manuscript if you will of Newt Scamander's "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them". It was quite the experience... I've never made a book or hand bound anything before!

Hope you all like it Cheesy

YAAYY I got my parcel from MissGoguen91 today Cheesy It's adorable and I love it!!

Here's everything inside still all packaged up!

And everything laid out Smiley

Mini Maurader's Map and list of Horcruxes on the bottom of the trunk.

One of the Potion Bottles Cheesy I think this one is my favorite... Dragon Blood (it leaked a little bit but that's ok!)

And the rest! A cauldron (the handles broke unfortunately Sad), scrolls, textbooks, and my own little OWL!!! I'll have to think of a good name for him!

Thank you so much MissGoguen91, you did an awesome job!! This swap was such a treat!

Ok here's what I made for you MissGoguen... ps sorry everyone for the image heavy post!

"Fantastic Beasts" by Newt Scamander... it's a journal of sorts containing notes for his publication "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" Wink

I was a little overzealous considering I've never made a book before... let alone hand bound anything... lol

I really hope you get this! I'll be so sad if you don't!

Aaaaand that's it. Hope y'all like it!

rjannelle, you have quoted an image, which is against Craftster Rules*.  No biggie though, you just need to edit your post and remove the [img] tags in the quote. Grin

*Rule: KEEP CRAFTSTER TIDY-Don't Quote Images-Please don't quote images from other posts. Quoting an image increases load time for that thread. When quoting another post, please remove the [IMG] tag from within the quote to disable from image.

Whoops sorry pinkleo! It's been fixed.

18  Sketches from the past year in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by rjannelle on: April 29, 2013 11:58:31 AM
I haven't posted much in the past few years because I was so busy with school Sad. Now that I'm done my undergrad (yay!) I thought I'd post some of my sketches from the past year (from newest to oldest). Hopefully I'll have more time for art and crafting now because I really miss it!

Bad Ass - I just drew this guy last night after watching The Place Beyond the Pines. I really need to practice drawing portraits again, I'm a bit rusty  Undecided

Fawn - I'd like to turn this drawing into a watercolor painting

19  "el fauno y la luna" - watercolor FINALLY DONE in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by rjannelle on: March 05, 2013 05:15:41 PM
I've been fixated on this image for the past 5 days and I'm finally done YAYYYY. This is my first COMPLETED watercolor painting so I have a lot to work on! I'm not particularly happy with the tree portion of the background... so clearly I need to practice my backgrounds! I was so rushed to get this piece done that I think the composition suffered. Otherwise, I'm really REALLY happy with how the subjects turned out Smiley PS of all things to really mess up I completely effed my signature Angry oh well, I'll probably cut that out anyways Tongue Here it is:

And a close up

C&C appreciated!

20  el fauno y la luna in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by rjannelle on: March 03, 2013 11:17:25 AM
This is the finished drawing of "el fauno y la luna" (I changed the name a little bit). The faun was heavily influenced by Pan's Labyrinth and the fairy was somewhat influenced by the girl but mostly the idea is from my own head. I just used pencil and sketchpad paper but I plan on using the image for a watercolor painting. I also hate drawing fabric because I can't seem to get the folds right but I think the dress turned out alright here. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy it Smiley
