1  Re: ACTIVE: GRANNY-A-DAY for November! start: 11-01-2010 in Crochetalongs by belleaurora on: November 07, 2010 12:36:21 AM
I'm keeping up! I'm keeping up!

I think my project is going to be a lot smaller than originally anticipated, but that' ok because it's still a pretty good size. Don't want to count the # of squares yet, though... but I've done a ton of squares this month!

Anyway, I wanted a bit of advice for what color to use to join all of these squares together. I'm thinking white, gray, or black... opinions?

Hey!  I'm really sorry this took forever, but I'm 99% sure that TheLilCrocheter received, so here are some pictures of the cozy I made her!  It's just felt and embroidery floss, nothing too fancy.  The colors look weird in the pictures... it's black, not gray!  Smiley

3  Chunky Scarf! in Knitting: Completed Projects by belleaurora on: June 12, 2007 04:08:16 PM
So I've been working on a scarf for a while.

Wait, let me rephrase that.

I started a scarf around Christmas last year and didn't have time to work on it while I was at college, so I just finished it.

It's sofy and fluffy and thick and I like it a lot Smiley

It was originally a present for someone, but I haven't seen her in forever, so I don't know what it's for now.  Hmmmmm.

And if you can't tell, there's an Ani DiFranco one, Team Dresch, I <3 the 80's, Le Tigre, checkerboard, Marilyn Monroe, The Little Prince, Sleater-Kinney, RENT, Metric, a black kitty, and Hellogoodbye.

RENT?!?!?!?  I'm sooooooo jealous!!!!!!!

Here are the wonderful ribbon belts belleaurora sent me! I asked for something for two pairs of pants that are both shades of green. One of them is my hiking pair so I said something earthy might be good. Aren't these perfect!!! The felt flower is a pin, but I liked in on the little belt. And she sent an adorable card. One side is for my birthday (the package arrived the day after) and one is to say she's sorry for being late, which she needn't have cause her stuff is so great!
Thanks so much!  Grin

Whoa, that flower and the belt /do/ go together pretty darned well!  I didn't even notice when I made it  Embarrassed  I'm so glad you enjoy them!!!

I want to be the first pic poster!  Give me a sec while I take pictures of the earrings from surfergrl311.......

Aren't they cute?  Yaaaay!  I was freaking out about her use of one of those paint sample things to hook the earrings onto... tee-hee.  I'm going to go make some earrings now Wink  Can't wait to see everyone else's!

8  Cubes, Buttons, and Gummy Bears, oh my! (earrings) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by belleaurora on: February 13, 2005 05:09:41 PM
Yesterday, after taking the *bleep*ing ACTs, I decided that studying was not a good idea for the rest of the day... and what else would I do but make earrings on a Saturday?   Cheesy  This is my actual first post of the "see what I did!" sort, so please cut me some slack if the picture doesn't work or, if it does, they're crappy  Lips sealed

The first 2 are random glass cubes that I painted over with glitter nail polish... the third is, obviously, a cluster of buttons.  It's for a friend, but the glue I used at the top didn't dry clear so I might have to do it over... and the last pair are actual mini gummy bears Smiley  -Karin
