My brother and I are obsessed with Mario-based things. Whenever I decide to crochet something for him, it's usually something about Mario. He always loves what I make but I decided to switch things up for Christmas. And so I decided to make........(wait for it)...... TOON LINK (http://nerdigurumi.com/2010/08/legend-of-zelda-toon-link-play-set.html) !!!!
 I decided to make everything except for the pig and the Red ChuChu . Considering the pattern had a lot of parts to it, it was pretty easy to follow . The only problem I had was the face. Cutting up the felt was a lot harder than I thought. And in the end my sister was the one skilled enough to get the face right And so after many close calls of my brother walking in on the project, I present to you.....Toon Link!!! :





P.S. He was very happy when he saw him, but I think what really got him was the detachable sword and shield 

 My brother was the one that introduced me to Naruto. In the anime, we saw that Naruto had, what seemed to be, the awesomest sleeping cap ever. And so I decided to make it for my brother for Christmas.
 At first I decided to try to make it with no pattern helping me, but after two days of endless frustration and many unravelings, I decided to search for a pattern. And luckily I did: http://vallieskids.blogspot.com/2009/12/santa-and-santas-elves-hats.html

 It was a couple days after Valentine's Day that I stumbled upon a Valentine's Card on the floor. I picked it up and saw the most adorable penguin I had ever seen that was saying "You're Cool!" I just knew I had to make this penguin. It was only around the end of March that I made her though.
 When I finally decided to start the project, my brother was using the computer, so I couldn't find any patterns to base it on. And that's why I made her from my own design. And luckily, this time, I was writing down what I was doing:  http://sites.google.com/site/crochetgoods/home/penguin  

The only down part about making this was cutting those small little felt hearts It was worth it in the end though I'm thinking about making a bunch of these for my friends for next Valentine's Day

One day in the summer, I decided to start planning out what to make everybody for Christmas. I had decided to make my eldest sister a blanket. " But what blanket?", my mind though. And so off I went to the internet..........a nd I found it. It was one of the most amazing blankets I had ever seen. But there was one problem.....the pattern was $6............and I didn't have the type payment they wanted. And so I asked my brother if he could pay it and then I would pay him when he came home for Thanksgiving Break. And gladly he said "Yes". On September 12, 2010 I started the blanket and 56 days later I had this:









And even though I didn't take a picture of it afterward, I added a nice, soft, green fabric on the back. On Christmas Day, after we opened the presents, my family told me the best expression when opening a present was mine. And that was when I was giving this one. I was literally freaking out when my sister opened her present

This was actually supposed to be a cardigan . And it was supposed to be made for my sister by Christmas. But sadly I didn't make it in time . So I decided I would finish the cardigan and give it to her for her birthday (March) instead. After the craziness of Christmas presents, though, I took about a month off of crocheting. When I got back to the project, and got to shaping the armholes, I got completely lost. I just couldn't figure out what the pattern (http://www.berroco.com/exclusives/aruna/aruna.html) wanted me to do!!! Then after much deliberation in my head, I decided not to finish

But……….I didn’t really know what to do with this piece. I didn’t want to unravel it because the design was really pretty, so I decided to fold it and put it away until I was more experienced in making cardigans. I folded it in half and then ding!!!! I had an idea. “I will make it into a bag!!!!” :







I sewed a bow on the outside first then sewed a nice soft fabric ( I found in Hancock Fabrics) on the inside (I hand-sewed it with a color thread matching the color of the purse). Once that was done I folded the piece in half and sewed the edges except the top. My mom and I went to the Thrift Store to find the handle and after many "not the right color"s, we found it. The bad thing is that we had to buy the bag attached to it as well but that became a part of her gift too. Since I have no idea how to sew on a zipper, my mom did it for me instead. I didn't get to take a picture of it afterwards though. But in overall, I'm really happy on how this turned out

I always liked Wiggler...........w hen he wasn't chasing madly at you with his face red with anger, just because you decided to jump on him. Still......he was always one of my favorite Mario characters, so I decided to make him:






The main body was from this pattern:http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24354, I found online. The spots, his eyes, and the flower are made of felt. I crocheted the nose and the shoes and wrote down the pattern while I was doing making them :
