81  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Decked Out for Deathly Hallows Part II (Signups CLOSED; Sendouts 7/1) on: June 24, 2011 10:16:39 AM
Well I'm still plugging along.... Still here, still crafting.  I was hoping to be done already, but planning my friend's shower & stagette.  let me tell you, that has been a total PITA.  With the Canada Post strike, my invitations are in a warehouse somewhere, so I had to bloody well call 50 people - do you know how long that takes?!?!

Anyway, I'm hoping that Canada Post is legislated back to work this week.  I don't want to be late with my swaps (I will use another carrier if I have to, so I'm not too concerned, but I just don't want to have to pay an arm and a leg!!)

Oh man. Tell me about it. I work for a music festival and the day before the lockout started I took a couple thousand brochures to the post office to be sent around, and now they're sitting in some distribution centres not going anywhere. We paid a pretty penny to get them going as well - and I have a box and a half sitting in my trunk waiting to be dropped off to the post as well. And we are having to hand deliver a ton of invitations to our Opening - it's been nuts.

I'm just glad cherry_blossom55 and I will be swapping in person. This postal strike is driving me crazy.

On Crafting side - I stayed up later than anticipated the other night working on my ______ and I'm sure cherry_blossom55 will love it - but I'm equally sure she'll laugh at me when she sees the dumb mistakes I made while making it. It's a good thing she finds my noobish ways endearing (I hope ;P)

checking in.  Things are still going smoothly. Working on a ____________ and personally loving it. I might steal it for personal use whenever I'm at cherry_blossom55 's house. True Story.

Crafting away, I've finished the _________ it doesn't look exactly how I wanted it to, but it works even better than I expected so I guess I'll take the compromise for now. Hopefully I come up with a better plan to fix how it looks. Even so, I'm still really pleased with it.

and went thrifting this evening and bought a whole bunch of extras to throw in with the rest of cherry_blossom55's stuff. So yay! Thrift stores make me happy.

OH and found the perfect little ______ for my ______ of ________. I'm really excited about them.

(p.s. doing the fill in the blank secrecy reminds me of mad libs and that makes me sad - did you guys hear the inventor of mad libs died this week?)

oh man, I've had a great idea for two weeks, but I've been completely unsuccessful in my hunt for the most important craft ingredient for my accessory. UGGH PAINFUL! might have to take my search to the intertubes.

I've been having such a fun time brainstorming for cherry_blossom55! It's so hard to keep it a secret from her though, we're close friends and I see her nearly everyday!

It's half the challenge of this swap keeping my ideas a secret. Cheesy
