21  Re: Glee Swap Gallery Send out by 7/12/10 in The Swap Gallery by tlh878 on: July 22, 2010 07:57:21 AM
Sorry about the photo quality, even though I waited to take photos with natural light, it is so overcast this morning that I had to turn lamps on and the colours are somewhat off.

Awesome painting of Sue. I cannot paint or draw for the life of me, so people who can always amaze me.

A nicely painted box in Cheerios colours, with some of my favourite quotes written on the lid.

A few smaller items that were packaged in the box.

Close up of the fantastic shrink plastic keychain.

There are weeks dedicated to Friendship and Simplifying Your Life.
And, there are also "odd" daily holidays - the ones that not many people know about or celebrate?  National Lighthouse Day, Wiggle Your Toes Day, and Tell a Joke Day.

This swap is to celebrate those unknown or unusual holidays. Each swapper will chose 6 holidays from the lists provided. Each partner will choose from those 6 holidays and craft 3 small items for their partner. A small item is defined as: by time-2 or less hours; by size-earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks, magnets; by price-$10 or less. U.S. packages MUST have a DC#, and international packages must have a receipt. Please provide both to the organizer when you ship. Shipping priority is suggested but not a requirement.

In order for this to be a monthly swap we MUST have a fast turn around time. Due to the fast turn around time, the organizer reserves the right to not add someone to the swap if there has been a documented history of repeated late sending. Please do not sign up for this swap unless you are prepared to send on time, if not early, and post pictures as soon as your package arrives.

Communication is a must! You must check in on the original thread and the gallery thread at least once a week. You also must check in with your partner once a week. Poor communication or lack thereof will be noted in feedback.

I received my amazing package from Bellazeus late last week, but I just got to taking photos.

First up my group shot of all of the great items and spoilage Wink

I said I wanted a sock monkey on my questionnaire, and Bellazeus made me a Cheshire Cat "sock monkey" for Alice in Wonderland day.

For Chocolate day I got 2 hand carved stamps (the strawberry one is not in the photo because my cats seem to have stolen it).  I also got some amazing Australian chocolate.

The third holiday was I forgot day.  I got a great magnetic board with bottle cap magnets and a couple of notebooks and a pen (not in the photos).

We also agreed to send some extras, and I got a koala bear, some postcards, and great little books about Australia.

Thank you SO much Bellazeus.  I hope you like your package even half as much as I like mine!

My package came today from nostephot!

It is fantastic!

the whole shebang all wrapped up

all three items unwrapped

A watermelon covered tape measure for watermelon seed spitting day.  I LOVE this.  I think it's my favourite item of the bunch.

A stuffed donut for donut day.  It reminds me so much of the donunt from the Simpsons.

I think i might use it for a large pin cushion since I have been wanting to make a pin cushion for a few months since I got on Craftster and started sewing again.

And a "grass" mat for go barefoot day.  I can't wait to put this in my bathroom and step on it when I get out of the shower. Smiley

PS - don't forget to sign up for the July swap.  sign ups close tomorrow. Smiley

My package from crystallized_art arrived today! It is amazing.  I absolutely love the scarf and the bag, and the book of coupons is adorable.

For trivia day

This amazing brown scarf with three pieces of scarf trivia embroidered on it.  It must have taken a really long time to make.  I love it.  The colour is perfect, and the quirkiness of having a scarf with trivia on it suits my sense of humour perfectly.

For No housework day

A coupon book with a variety of coupons to be used.  The back of each coupon has the rules on the way to redeem the coupons.  Here are a photos of a few of the coupons included.

This is my favourite one, I love how crystallized_art added a smiley face to the clip art.

And for tartan day this amazing bag.

I love the fringe, and the outside pocket, but the best part is the three pockets she created on the inside that are perfect for putting my phone, or other small things that I want to access quickly.

I also got some Easter goodies as a special extra.

I can't wait for the May swap!
