thanks Pugwash for putting up a photo.  I was coming on this morning to put one up.  My husband just took photos for me this weekend.



And this one show some of the detail work Pugwash did. It's amazing!! I just finished a hoop with quite a bit of satin stitch and I can't imagine how much time and attention to detail went into this.  I love it!!





I was also an angel for this swap, and that hoop just got sent away.  Here is a little teaser.

After seeing how jam packed some of the other envelopes were I was a teeny bit upset that my envelope was not stuffed to the brim, but then I opened it, and OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!  It was PERFECT!!!!  It's true that great things come in small packages.  Everything in the package is exactly what I wanted and will get so much use.

I received a FANTASTIC package on Friday, but I just picked it up from the post office last night.

Here is the whole package.  I got spoiled with stuff for resin jewelery and learning embroidery.  Two things I am really excited to try!  There were also some chocolates, but somehow they didn't make it into the photo



A close up of the embroidery stuff.  A hoop, some thread, plastic bobbins to store the thread and a box of embroidery by Jenny Hart of sublime stitching.  The box contains a book, patterns, a hoop and thread.  I am so excited to read through the book and try some of the stitches in the book.


Lots of stuff to get me going on resin jewelery.  Cups, bottles, molds, glitter, sprinkles and best of all instructions!






And finally, I got a super cute resin heart ring.  I have already worn it!


Thank you soooo much I Sew Cute  I LOVE it all, and feel very spoiled.  Now I have to work on a super special thank you gift.

Mailing Box

Day 1!
Day one was wrapped in this great skulls fabric.  I can't wait to use it


This bag to contain everything else is AMAZING!!! I am already blown away.

I love this monster.  He is totally adorable!  He is holding a bone in each hand, and the one hand that is not visible is in his mouth with a ribbon leading to the gifts.  

It's all explained in the note.



Day 2!

The monster opened his mouth to reveal the gifts inside!


A wonderful banner that came disassembled so I could decide the order of the triangles and which side of each one to put facing out.


I totally love it!  some of the fabric glows in the dark which makes it even cooler!


Day 3!

I got a super cute skeleton stamp and a clear block to mount it.



Day 4!

This was a great day with a very clever banner/wall hanging of classic horror movie posters.


the photos are dark and blurry because when I used my flash there was too much glare on the laminated posters.

Day 5!

Some "gruesome" tattoos and a black box with fantastic stickers to make it a Halloween jewelery box.


The necklace is super fun, and very appropriate for the season!



Day 6!


I love these stuffed pumpkins!  They are so fun and cute.  Once I get a nice plate I will be using these as a centerpiece.  In the photo they are on my tote that stores my Halloween decorations.


Day 7!



I am going to hang this super cute ghost in my front window.  The napkins will totally be used for my Halloween dinner, and I don't know what I will do with the mask yet, but I am sure I will come up with something!


Day 8!



I think this is my favourite day so far (except the first day with the monster of course)!  I love these homemade pillow cases.  Each one is so well made with the black skull fabric on one side, and the brightly coloured orange or green fabric on the other side.

These are going on my pillows right away!


Day 9!



This shiny shirt is so fun.  There are velvety spider webs all over it.  I am not sure if I will be giving it to my husband to wear, or if I will cut it up and use it as fabric.

Annchen received a couple of weeks ago, but had some computer problems so I am posting a photo I took of what I made.



I wish I would have taken some action shots, but it is an apron that is reversible with brown on the other side.  I also sent 2 sets of oven mitts.  one pair I made by cutting up an old pair of jeans and quilting them with scrap t-shirt fabric on the inside.  the other pair was made by my grandma a few years ago, but they are too big for me and I never use them so I sent them as well.

Here are some more photos of what bubblegum_phoenix sent me in the first package.


She supports a few causes, and one is by buying the cards that are painted by people without hands using their mouths or feet.  She also sent 3 postcards of her area of New Zealand, and the face mask is one of the ways she relaxes.  I think this will be a great relaxing treat for me at the end of a long week.


Her favourite animals are sheep and llamas.  her favourite saying is "llamas wearing...." so this llama is wearing a pink feather boa.  I don't really understand the context of the saying, but perhaps bubblegum can clarify for us.  The thimble is because she just recently started collecting them and her favourite colour is purple.


This is something local because the Pohutakawa is a huge tree that bloom with red fluffy flowers.  I can't wait to stitch this up and frame it to put on my hoopla wall!


bubblegum's friends were worried I wouldn't like this book because it is used, but I *LOVE* it.  I have wanted to learn to crochet for about a year, and she says that this book is easy to use and helped her learn to crochet.


In order to use the book (and the yarn in the other photo) she sent along a crochet hook (which is her favourite tool).  I also wanted to put it in this picture to show the size of the chocolate bar.  Her favourite food is anything sweet (like chocolate and jelly beans) so she sent this NZ chocolate bar.


bubblegum has photophobia so always has to wear sunglasses (sunnies as she calls them)   this is a case to hold my sunglasses.  I love it!! I have been thinking for months I should make a sunglasses case for my purse to minimize the scratching.

I also got a fantastic pair of crochet slippers with a handmade polymer clay button on each.  I have been wearing them already, and I think the dog stole them because they are not where I left them, so that's why there isn't a photo.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE what I got from bubblegum_phoenix, but haven't had time to post photos yet.

I am on my way out to work, but I wanted to get a couple up now. 


This is the group shot (although some things are missing)  A fantastic crochet book, a large chocolate bar, yarn, decorative thimble, postcards, mini llama and mini sheep.

I will post more photos, and more details as to why she sent everything tonight after I get home from work.

I received a couple of days ago, but was just able to take photos last night.

I got an AMAZING pair of knitted slippers that are the *perfect* colour for me.


As I opened the package my husband said they were very me

I also got some adorable crochet flowers (the photos were blurry so I am not putting them up) and I got a tape measure covered in Swedish colours.  I totally needed another sewing tape measure so this is perfect.


A couple of other Swedish extras were a postcard of a basket of mushrooms (Annchen says her mom likes to go collecting mushrooms) and  a postcard with a recipe for egg cheese which I am going to try and make this winter.


And finally some Swedish licorice candy.
