21  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Owl Cushion/Softie... sssh, I'm giving him away!! on: May 17, 2010 06:41:50 AM
Oooh! Aaah.  I am in total awe.  I am even more excited to be your partner in the owl swap now.  Woo hoo! I wonder what crafty owl goodness you have made for me?

well, well, well lady - you'll just have to wait and see now won't you!  Never fear, I've been tossing it up with something for the swap and something not for the swap... then back to the swap!

Thanks so much for your comments ladies.  He's not my typical choice of fabrics - I usually go for a bit more colour, however I wanted to try something in neutrals.  I think he came out pretty spesh looking!

I made this cute little fella today.  I'm currently participating in an owl swap and I've been in an owl-crafting-mood lately!

He just came out of nowhere really. Well, he obviously came from somewhere, but I kinda think I went into autopilot and he just appeared!!  Once he was made I thought to myself that he needs a good home (not that mine isn't good, but it's a little too full with softies and owls to keep him), so I've decided to give him away.  Yep, that's right - I'm GIVING him away.

If you think that you might be able to give my owl softie a good home you can check out my blog for details on how to enter for your chance to house him and love him. http://thecraftrevival-magdalena.blogspot.com/2010/05/giveaway-time-owl-cushion.html.

Thanks for looking  Smiley
24  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: I <3 OWLS (SIGNUPS CLOSED; MAIL BY 6/7/10) on: May 16, 2010 04:38:47 AM
This weekend I finished 2 small, 1 small-medium and 1 medium owly things.  I've also got a large in progress since before I started any of the others.  Ah, the labors of love.  But I'm having fun!  Can't wait to make more owly goodness! Yay to productive weekends.
25  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: My First Quilt! And she's red... on: May 09, 2010 05:40:10 PM
lOVE THE Fabric. Ive been thinking in doing one myself and you just gave me the courage thanks. great job.

Yay - glad to have inspired you to make one too.  I think fear has a lot to answer for Naomy!

Very nice.  Our great grandmothers couldn't google so I figure you are truly following the tradition of using what you have and bit of common sense to make something useful and BEAUTIFUL.

You're so right waggonswest.  I've had to use the ol' brain to work it out.  Just like my Babcia (grandmother in Polish) would have done!  I truly am a nanna at heart
26  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: My cute (and functional) messenger bag/satchel on: May 05, 2010 11:21:28 PM
yeah its a cute bag. i kinda like that polka dots lining you used for the bag. great job!

Thanks Nadia.  Glad you like it!  I went for the polka dots inside because I wanted it to be a little surprise every time I opened the bag.  It's a little more serious on the outside with the pinstripe, then you open it up to a circus!

These are brilliant!  Thanks for sharing photos.  I might attempt to make something similar for hubby and I for our upcoming European trip.  Although I'm sure mine won't look nearly as professional as yours.  Great job!!

I love it.  What a great little holder.  You've given me an idea to make something similar for a mini first aid kit for our upcoming trip to Europe.  Brilliant.  Thanks for sharing the photos Smiley.  They are very professional looking.
29  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My cute (and functional) messenger bag/satchel on: May 05, 2010 08:32:11 PM
I've been meaning to post images since I made this really cute satchel bag (or messenger bag).

It was really simple to make after I found the tutorial on mmmcrafts blog which you can check out here http://mmmcrafts.blogspot.com/2009/06/basic-messenger-bag.html.  I have already thanked her for posting the tute.  It was so easy to follow and it really is a great bag to make.

It took me about 3 hours to make including fabric cutting.  It is complete with two internal small pockets as well as a large external one on the outside back.

Hope this inspires you to make one yourself!

Thanks for looking Smiley

3 days and common craft sense to make this awesome quilt?!?! Wow. It took me 3 months, loads of tutorials, detailed patterns and TONS of Craftster support. You are AMAZING! Good for you for just going for it.

Love the colors and your beautiful photographs.

Thanks LimeRiot!  I even surprise myself sometimes.  Smiley
