1  Jam filled butter cookies! in Dessert by beth.wilson.norwood on: January 14, 2012 06:32:06 PM
Today I made jam filled butter cookies... from scratch. It was actually really easy and they turned out great! I got the recipe from http://allrecipes.com/recipe/jam-filled-butter-cookies/ and filled them with raspberry preserves.

2  Cake in a Mug. Cooked in the Microwave. Awesome! in Dessert by beth.wilson.norwood on: January 06, 2012 07:16:26 PM
This is the cake I made, in a mug, with the microwave. (Isn't that the coolest thing ever!) The cake recipe is from http://be-it-ever-so-humble.blogspot.com/2010/02/lemon-mug-cake.html. I added a lemon glaze. I made the glaze by mixing the juice of half a lemon and about two and a half spoon fulls of powdered sugar (a regular kitchen spoon, not a table spoon, or teaspoon).

Here it is with the glaze and a garnish.

Here is the cake before it came out of the mug.

3  Blankie Bear in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by beth.wilson.norwood on: August 17, 2011 03:14:39 PM
Here is another toy for my yet-to-be-born nephew. It's what I am going to call his Blankie Bear.
It comes with detachable blankie. I think I am going to have to make a few more things for the little bear to hold before I mail it to my sister. Maybe even a tiny blankie bear.

4  Jar Pies, Pies in Jars, 16 oz of Pie Goodness! in Dessert by beth.wilson.norwood on: July 02, 2011 05:43:50 PM
Today I was inspired by http://blogs.babble.com/family-kitchen/2011/06/20/cherry-and-blueberry-star-pies-in-jars/
I took my regular apple pie recipe, divided it into thirds, and made PIES IN JARS!
I used 16 oz canning jars.

I just preheated the oven and a cookie sheet to 400. Place the jars on the cookie sheet. It took about 20 min. less than this recipe normally takes. Half way through I rotated the jars. I watched until the crust was turning golden brown and the filling was bubbling.

7  Way to big shirt to a cute little skirt! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by beth.wilson.norwood on: May 29, 2011 04:40:26 PM
I was browsing craftgawker today and saw this http://makebakeandtake.blogspot.com/2011/04/our-bodies-get-bigger-and-our-hearts.html
I had a way to big shirt that I have been debating on what to do with. So I decided to give it a try.
Here you go:

Sorry the photos aren't that great. My husband begrudgingly left his game of Wii golf to take these pictures. Wink

8  My own little patch of grass in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects by beth.wilson.norwood on: May 08, 2011 03:01:25 PM
Last August my husband and I moved from our cozy little Arkansas town to a city in Texas for me to go to grad school. Apartment living isn't ideal, in order to make it a little more like home I built a little patch of grass for the cats (and me). Here it is! These photos were taken the day I finished the project. Two months later the little grass patch is doing great. Now I have to figure out how to mow a 2ft x 4ft lawn.  Wink

9  Beautiful Boston Terrier Babies! in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by beth.wilson.norwood on: May 05, 2010 05:51:26 PM
I made a pencil drawing of my parents boston terriers, Bo and Birdie, when they were puppies. Then I scanned the drawings and using Corel painter added color. Very quick and easy but I like them.

10  Flowers, Flowers in the air?! More string garden stuff. in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects by beth.wilson.norwood on: May 04, 2010 12:02:33 PM
As I'm sure you can tell I have become obsessed with the idea of string gardens: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=344229.0  and  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=344568.msg4008130#msg4008130
Seeing how my little herbs are working pretty well I decided to start some flowers, so here they are.
