1  8 bit Space Invader hoodie in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by LeonardB on: May 20, 2011 09:49:40 AM
Inspired by Corrine on Craftovision (she was on Threadbanger before she left it); http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRCLOLxrORk
I added the spaceship to my design Smiley The red and black material is a silky type with a Chinese flowery design on it. You can't quite see it in the photo so just take my word for it. It's an old Puma hoodie so I was trying to cover up the logo. Made it as a present for a friend ^^

2  The Cake is a Lie Tee in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by LeonardB on: May 16, 2011 08:15:47 AM
Made this for my boyfriend as a present. Sized down a giant t-shirt to a smaller size and then screen printed the cake on. Well, not so much screen printed as sponged (very messily) but whatever Smiley And it'll fit him, it just looks mad baggy on me.
You like?

Original picture which I then traced out on bigger card.

This was inspired by http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=330888.0
I made it as a present for my little brother. The ol' sewing machine was acting up so it's not the cleanest thing ever but it's still cute ^^ has a secret compartment under it's head to stash bits and bobs. Stuffed with rags. he helped cutting out the elastic from old underpants for the arms and legs Cheesy

4  Candy Pillow! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by LeonardB on: August 13, 2010 09:38:16 AM
I made this pillow for my friend's 18th birthday to double up as a house warming gift since she's leaving to go to Scotland for college quite soon. She is my sweety Smiley
I used pink and white fleece. I cut out the swirly shape from newspaper and then traced it onto the felt. I sewed, stuffed and then covered in gorgeous white polka dotted mesh (it was like 22 euro for 2 yards, what a rip off!).
It took a couple of hours to do, give or take.

This is the only photo I took of it since I was running out of the house in order to make it to the party on time. I match! ^.^

Thanks for looking Smiley

5  ''My Summer Of Love'' Journal in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by LeonardB on: August 13, 2010 08:41:47 AM
Second one I've tried making Smiley It was super fun times. I messed up a tad when sticking in the pages. When you close the book the inside end pages bend in to the spine. Boo! I would advise anyone who is starting out with making journals and notebooks to use a spine, it is so much easier to get it right. The first journal I made, I used a ribbon instead and it turned out to be far too narrow and so the covers didn't sit right blah blah.
http://curiouslycrafty.wordpress.com/tutorials/ is the tutorial I used to work out making the cover. I didn't use the measurements (just folded A4 pages in half) and also learnt how to do the coptic stitch a long time ago, from somewhere else, and I can't remember where... sorry..

I made this for my friend who is leaving for America (today actually Sad ) for a year. MySummerOfLove is the name for his blog so I figured since it was for him, it was the perfect thing to call it.

Inside view of cover.

Spine!

Coptic stitch all the way

I love that fabric so so much...

And lastly a blury picture from the side.

So thanks for looking Smiley All comments welcomed!

6  bleach fun in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by LeonardB on: June 18, 2010 01:10:44 PM
I did this a couple of days ago. I sewed black old, baggy jeans into skinnies and then just put strips of masking tape on and sprayed it with about 40% bleach and 60% water. Super simple way to update. Yeay!

I kept a plain back. Just 'cause.

Don't mind my toes, they look kinda weird in this photo.

Jumping for joy

The process, sort of...

7  Yet another roll-y organiser. Made from legs of shtuff. in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by LeonardB on: June 12, 2010 05:59:50 PM
My first post on Crafster. How fantastic! I've been looking around this website for about 6 months but never had time to make anything. Now, in the last week of my final school exams (isn't it always the way..), I couldn't keep myself away any longer and decided to give making one of those roller organiser thingy-ma-bobs a go.
I don't have a lot of patience so I just made it up as I went along. I used two cut off legs from pyjamas that were too short and put in sturdy jean material in-between. It's extremely rough, but I'm only learning so it's not too bad a job. Anyway, just wanted to share.

A little closer

Closer still...

So those lines reminder me of bees. To make it a little colourful I sprayed on some on the back. They smudged a little. Bad plan..

And this is the button and ribbon that I attached as an after thought. You can see just how rough the back is. I was sewing from the inside so any mistakes I made can be seen quite clearly on the most exposed part. That's a lesson to be learnt right there.

So that's that. It was simple enough to make and I enjoyed it. I'll be making more better ones quite soon so watch this space. Thanks for looking Smiley
