12  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Glamtastic glittery platforms = numnumnum :9 on: November 13, 2011 02:22:43 AM
I am a freak for anything glam. You know, 1970's glam - the music, the glitter, the gawdiness, the fashion....geez, I think I was born in the wrong era! Tongue

I've always wanted a pair of glitter platforms since, like, forever - but they were either too expensive (not paying 75 for a pair of shoes, ta) or not in my size (I have rather big feet for a lady...booo!) All was lost until I discovered this tutorial by the amazing LunarPowered - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=388327.0 - I could make my own!! Cheesy SQUEEEEE!!

I had a pair of red TUK platforms that has had their day - all scuffed up and chewed up like bubble gum. Sad

Eww eww eww.

Then after tons of glitter, glue, and laquer (and watching my trashy chat shows) - I present the end product. I will get around to dusting off the excess glitter from inside the shoe later. Smiley

I can't wait to wear them out and have people ask me where I got them from. Tongue Tongue The only problem I see with me having this knowledge of vamping up old heels = 95% of my shoes will now be glitterfied to within an inch of their lives. Tongue

20  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Moz-tastic tote :D <3 on: October 23, 2011 06:19:26 AM
As a lot of my friends know, I'm a huge fangirl of The Smiths and Morrissey. I get random clippings in the post from friends that relate to the man himself Tongue

Anyhoos, I was HUGELY inspired by this post by totalindividual - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=359722.msg4659451#msg4659451 - which involved taking a shirt and making it into a snazzy bag. Smiley I had a Morrissey shirt that didn't fit right, so I cut it up and stitched onto some faux fur red leo print that was lying about...and voila!!

Big enough for books and stuff, but not unwieldy and cumbersome. Smiley

Inside of the bag - little mobile phone pocket, as my phone tends to get lost in my bag most of the time. Smiley

I might do more of these with random shirts I find on my travels - yay!!
