21  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Beginners inchies swap (SU 16th Dec 2010 - 15th Jan 2011 SO 16th Feb 2011) on: January 23, 2011 08:32:23 AM
I cannot find my cutting mat so I am feeling very slow at inchie progress. I have been collecting, for what seems like forever, paper and bits for this swap. Yet i like so many of you, have been distracted by things around me, panic that I don't own modge podge or PVC Glue (what is that??) or that crazy self doubt! Worst of all is this New Year pressure to organize my crafting!
Reading this thread everyday reassures me that I am not alone in any of this. So today will be super productive...or else!
22  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Let's make a frigging hat already! on: January 22, 2011 04:58:29 PM
I soooo want to make a hat and now I must! I learned how to knit almost 2 weeks ago and haven't stopped. Shocked
My first infinity scarf (which is far too long but I do not care!) is made from the same yarn as your hat.

I will definitely try this pattern. Thanks for the encouragement and kick start I needed to branch out.
23  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies!!! on: January 21, 2011 02:14:54 PM
I finally made these and they were so yummy! If you are wondering about making these..... trust me, you should. I can see more bacon being a request. Bacon makes everything better!

Thanks for this recipe. Smiley

I love your work space LimeRiot. I am jealous of your organizational skills. I can hardly remember what my kitchen table looks like since it has a mountain of "perfect inchie" stuff covering it.

As for keeping stuff smudge free.. I know you can but a spray for that. You should be able to find it at a good art supply store or a big craft store. I think 3M makes one that is pretty good.

I better get inchie-ing! I feel like I am so behind. I waited to really start so that I could personalize them for my partners but maybe I shouldn't have! Inspiration better strike soon. Tongue

What a great find, but soooo much better after the refurb! Even my husband loves it!

Has anyone tried to explain to someone what an inchie is? Hilarious! I thought that swapping was hard to communicate but inchies makes people look at you like you are crazy and then you see deep thought cross their faces and then more confusion as to why you would make teeny masterpieces!
29  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Doll House made entirely of cardboard - part 1 on: January 05, 2011 10:07:49 AM
This does rock! Fabulous job and that spiral staircase! I want to live in a pretty house like that.
We too did the Santa store buys and we recycled. My son loved his gifts from us. Just goes to show $ can't buy everything. Wink
30  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Paper and Glass Necklaces - Simple on: January 05, 2011 09:38:12 AM
These are neat. Love that you used basic items and personalized them. The colour change is always fun...like an experiment that changed in the process.
