1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Christmas Gift Giving Questions on: December 08, 2010 09:53:36 PM
Whether the gift is handmade or bought, do you set a price limit for how much you want to spend on each person?  When do you start buying or making the gifts?

Each year, my budget differs.  It depends on how much I have made that year.  This year, I have a tight budget.  On our early Christmas party with my friends last week, I made cookies and put them in individual jars.  I put red ribbons and tag.  They love it.
2  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / What is your secret cooking shortcut? on: November 23, 2010 08:28:43 PM
I like to use garlic in cooking, that's why I always chop garlic in batches and store them in airtight plastic containers and store them in the ref.  Everytime I cook, I just get some.  It makes my cooking time shorter.
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Framing artworks of children on: November 18, 2010 09:22:10 PM
Can you suggest ways of displaying children's artworks?  We don't have budget for expensive framing, but we'd like to put them up on walls in an attractive way.
4  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Nonstick cookware on: November 18, 2010 09:08:14 PM
I have several pieces of nonstick cookware.  No matter what I do, their ability to be stick-free does not seem to last.  What is the best way to care for nonstick pots and pans?
5  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / What is your fave quick to prepare, grab-and-go road trip food? on: November 17, 2010 08:30:53 PM
I love making sandwiches.  They are easy to prepare, anytime, anywhere.  Cheesy
6  COOKING / Dessert / What's your dream dessert? on: November 12, 2010 05:37:32 PM
Cakes and pastries, oh, how I love them.  Getting chubbier as days go by.  I love chocolate cake.  One with rich dark chocolate and caramel filling.  I couldn't get enough of it.  Once I binge on this, I got stomach ache and severe cough. Roll Eyes Grin
7  COOKING / Dessert / Banana baked goodies recipe on: November 10, 2010 06:46:24 PM
Do you have you favorite banana baked goodies?  Please share your recipe.

I have a banana muffin recipe that is not very good.  I would like to learn how I can make use of banana in baking.
8  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Ginger Tea on: November 08, 2010 08:23:35 PM
Recently, I had a liking on drinking ginger tea.  I boil thick slices of ginger in water and drink the juice.  It's so good on my throat.  I learned that it has its medicinal effects on the body as well.  I also drink this whenever I have hoarse voice.  You should try it.  Smiley
9  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / D-I-Y Body Scrub on: November 04, 2010 07:16:57 PM
Sugar Body Scrub - this can help increase blood circulation and remove dry skin.

1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons canola oil
2 tablespoons milk

Mix all the ingredients together until creamy.  Gently massage over your body. Rinse well with warm water and then apply lotion or body moisturizer.

Having a spa experience need not be expensive.  You can do it at the comfort of your own home.  Share your D-I-Y spa treatments here.
10  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Vegetarianism in childhood on: November 03, 2010 08:39:34 PM
For parents who are vegetarian or vegan, do your children have the same diets as you do? I have friends who are not vegetarians, but ironically, one of their sons is.  From toddler age, he just do not like the taste of meat.  Up to now that he's 10 years old, he just continue with his vegetarian diet.  No matter how his parents lure him to eat steaks and other meat dishes, he just do not like them.
