1  April bag - sew mama sew in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by redrose05 on: March 04, 2010 01:00:04 PM
Was inspired by a post by 'xperimentl' here......  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=339980.0 using a sew mama sew tutorail here....  http://www.sewmamasew.com/store/media/blog/SMSAprilBags.pdf - the shoulder bag option

Have never made a proper bag before so liked the look of this as it didn't need the dreaded zip!

This is it with 'stuff' in it, makes the top scrumple

This gives you an idea of scale, apologies for bad pic

Only changes I'd make in future would be thicker handles, but all in all quite pleased Smiley only took about 3 hours to make (including ripping seams and re-stiching bits when i made mistakes)

2  waistcoat/vest in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by redrose05 on: February 07, 2010 09:47:12 AM

New waistcoat/vest made using pure new wool fabric remnants and a sale McCalls pattern. Fully lined inside.

Still learning, so made LOADS of mistakes, some you can see, but managed to come out wearable and alright I think. First time i've tried to doing darts and other tailoring things.

3  Yoga Pants! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by redrose05 on: January 08, 2010 01:00:37 PM
I'm pretty new to this - have only made a bag - this was my first completed attempt at clothing. Used a pattern in Diana Rupp's book sew and linen fabric. Turned out alright I think. Still can't sew in straight lines yet. Can't post pictures as have less than 10 ten posts, so have put links to them.
