So for some reason, Spring last year, I decided I should learn to sew. So I decided that come summer, I would start learning. I made 3 tops this summer, and they're all hand sewn, so probably not very strong, but I don't have a sewing machine.... yet!
Anyway, here are the tops. Let me know what you think. Btw, thanks for all the ideas I've got from these forums, they're fantastic, and make me dream far beyond my ability!
This one was the first, made from http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/?p=791
It looks better on, but unfortunately I don't have picture! My mum found lots of my Grandma's old fabric in the attic so I experimented with it all, which is lots of fun.
This is the 2nd. I just kind of drew a pattern off the first top I made. Again, it looks better on, but I'm not in the same country to take one! It's a bit gapey at the front if I bend over, so I think when I get back to the UK, I will try and amend that somehow! Any ideas?!
And this is the final one. This is actually made out of a curtain. Not kidding. It must have been a small window though. All I literally did, was fold it in half, cut a head hole, cut down the sides and sew it up! It was great as well because I only had to hem the neckline! (Though I did add an extra strip on the bottom, that I'd cut from the sides to make it a little longer). I think this is my favourite!
Thanks for looking!
I can't believe how much fun sewing clothes is!
