ORGANIZER NOTE:

IMPORTANT REMINDER ABOUT SHIPPING

Hi everyone!  Please take a very important moment to review the following information from our swap info, prior to visiting the post office to ship.

How do I ship the stamps?
DO NOT SHIP THESE IN A STANDARD ENVELOPE. Let's please try to avoid the crying and the weeping and the sad sad sounds of people who send stamps in standard envelopes only to realize too late that when they are run through the postal machines they get caught and have their guts ripped out.  Mangling and crushing and breakage of beautiful little rubber stampies!   Cry

These stamps will be too thick to just send in standard envelopes.  They will need to be packaged in bubble wrap envelopes, or other sturdy ways, and be handled as packages and not as letters.  DELIVERY CONFIRMATION REQUIRED, or MAILING RECEIPTS for international senders.   Wink

I can't emphasize this enough.  Stamps packaged in regular envelopes will most likely run through the machines and the stamps will be squeezed out the sides like toothpaste out a tube.  SWOOSH---all gone.  Please please please package your stamps in cozy safe ways!

There is no requirement  nor expectation in this swap to mount---the majority don't, actually.  I'd say that especially international shippers would be highly motivated not to mount---way too expensive to ship!

Run on over to the gallery, all---because our first stamps have arrived and been posted!  Cheesy

Well I did major carving last yesterday and pumped out to pretty fun stamps. I'm pretty happy... only there are a couple that I don't wanna let go now >,< Sigh.... well I guess that was the goal right?

When I really like a stamp I have carved for a swap partner, I just make a copy of it for myself.  Using permanent ink, I just stamp the coveted stamp I am sending away to my partner onto a free piece of carving material---thereby transferring the image I like so much onto a new set of carving material so that I can carve it for myself later.

Easy peasy.

Just take care not to smear the image before you get a chance to carve it.
