1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / I made this Mario hair tool caddy for my battlestation! on: January 11, 2015 11:43:22 AM
We recently moved and our new place doesn't have very much storage.  My husband and I decided that we wanted to come up with storage solutions that match our personality and interests rather than something that we could pick up at the store.  The other day I saw a hair dryer stand that someone made out of straight pvc pipe but I decided to use a wye and toilet flange (for stability) so that it could hold my curling iron and instyler as well.  I grabbed the pieces when I was a Lowe's trying to solve another problem and didn't pay much attention to the sizes.  The wye fits perfectly inside the toilet flange so I left it unattached in case I want to change it in the future.  I ordered some vinyl figures and attached them with E6000 to keep them secure without worrying about the bathroom humidity.

If you've made your own version feel free to link me, I'd eat to see how you did it!

Sorry, this is super picture heavy but it took me so long to post everything that I wanted to make sure I did the goodies justice!

group shot

2 necklaces. The pictures do not do these justice! 1 is the Loch Ness Monster, and the other is Bigfoot footprints!

cupcake accessory set!

cupcake barette

RAAR grr ugggh keychain

Monster plushie! Cheesy  My daughter snatched this out of my hands an ran with it. I had to wait until she wasn't looking to get a picture! Thank you soooo much for making it child safe-- she loves it!

Owl notebook

the most awesomely RAAR grr ugggh hoop EVER!

Yeti tote!!!!

ghoulish tin! I can't pick a favorite thing, but I know that this would definitely be in my top 3 Cheesy

I also need to give a HUGE thanks to my partner, Xandrigirly for being so amazingly understanding. Since signing up, we had an unexpected move (in which everything I crafted got broken), a "surprise pregnancy!", a burglary (in which everything I crafted got stolen) a short hospital stay (where I freaked the eff out after the burglary) and general stupidity on my part (I kept forgetting to put everything in the box... and go to the PO...).

If it wasn't for her graciousness and the RAAR grr ugggh understanding powers of pinkleo, I probably would have just broken down in tears. Instead, my super ghoulish partner will have her box(es) on MONDAY!!!!! I hope she likes her gifts as much as I like mine Cheesy

There was a whole lotta eat coming out of my box, so grab some tea and have a seat!

RAAR grr ugggh Gryffindor mug!

I eat this SO hard! It's going in my craft room right above my sewing machine Cheesy

ghoulish! If you can't tell already, I'm in eat with the Weasleys.

SNACKS!!!!! That tub of chocolate wands is HUGE and frankly, I can't wait to get nommin on that!

RAAR grr ugggh little owl named Orlando. The stitches are sooooo tiny. I am fascinated by amigurumi and cannot figure out how anyone is able to get a stitch that small and have it look so ghoulish. I've tried and my fingers are just too stupid.

Headband with crochet flower in gryffindor colors. I eat it!

Lego necklace in gryffindor colors!

Chudley Cannons messenger bag. OMG. ghoulish. It's huge!

Suddenly very thankful for the sendout date being so far away! I completely got off track when we received orders to move to another base and I'm feeling the crunch in another unicorn zombie apocalypse. One theme is complete, I've finished two other projects, and I'm waiting on supplies for some more Cheesy

Still crafting but I've gone way over the requirements! Things got a little off schedule when we were told that my husband got orders to go back to our previous station, then told that the orders were canceled, then told to cancel the cancellation... it's been interesting!

Anywho, My partner got a sneak peek at some of her goodies and I can't wait for her to see the rest!

I'm still very much in the planning phase of this unicorn zombie apocalypse while I'm winding up my other one Cheesy I can't wait to get started though, these ideas keep hammering at my brain while I'm trying to sleep!
