I see a great space for storage...depeding on how wide the stair way is I would line either both or one side of the stairway with shelves that attach to the wall. you could have them cut to stagger up the stairs so you can use them floor to ceiling and space them vertically to accomidate bins of your craft or other items you need to store away.
Or you could add a tension rod in the back and shelves to make a clothing closet for out of season or extra clothing.

this is the one I bought for myself, it has the good basic stitches and does button holes etc. It's really sturdy and has all metal gears. Mine has run like a champ with no prolems not even with some pretty heavy and very flimsey fabrics. Uses standard needles and bobbins too so no search all over town for those. I get mine from the dollar store! It goes for about $99 and correct me if I'm wrong but this "alphasew" machine is manufactured by the same manufacturers of "white" sewing machines.

This is my first post and have enjoyed surfing through the site.Everyone seems great and so talented.My sister is a big shark freak...she loves them to the point of being a little scary. Well now I would like to make her a little gift. I was thinking of making her a purse, thanks to some tuts from this site, and thought I would embrd. a shark on to it. Where can I find a good pick to use for that?

But I'm also open to other suggestions!

My mom suggested a shark shaped little zippered pouch for tampons, you know for when you are surfing the crimson wave! Our family is very strange and slightly sick with our sense of humor!
