1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Bottle Cap images- where to print? on: December 10, 2014 08:58:14 AM
I apologize in advance if I am in the wrong area... :-D

I found a few free bottle cap images, and I was wondering where can I get them printed without the copyright issues? Home? Fork over color ink and photo paper? Any other ideas? Huh Huh

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Basket Weave hat HELP!! on: November 29, 2014 09:52:01 PM
I have made a basket weaved slouchy hat from this link- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLj9qowOzRk&index=15&list=WL by using a 41 peg loom and thick yarn. I want to make it smaller (not slouchy) on the 36 or whatever is smallest from that one with worsten yarn doubled. Is there a pattern or something that will work on a smaller loom with a mesh edge that is not so small, not so hard to get pass the mesh edge?

*Hope this is clear, my first time posting in loom knitting *

cabaute, I love how vibrant the patches from crazyda79 are! I especially love the planet, but I love the cheery stripe-y one, and the fabric for the tree trunk is perfect!

pinkmichk, what a fantastic set of patches! I love the dormouse in the teapot, and the snitch is most excellent. But, I just LOVE that the tardis lights up!. Well done, noodle-bug!

GoldenSunshine, what an adorable set of patches from MommyTheMaid! I love the sushi patch! And, I love the winter themed patches from pinkmichk, especially the tree on the hill. And, I love how instantly recognizable the Mike W. patch is!

MommyTheMaid, those baby animal patches are adorable and will be perfect for your baby's first scrapbook! I love them all, but I think the fox is my favorite!

My hubby is not a girly person but he think the patches were perfect- Fox is his most favorite animal! :-D

GoldenSunshine - Very striking patches.  Did you print the Hufflepuff out on your printer?  Also the beads around the Hufflepuff badge is a nice touch.  The Deathly Hallows has a nice background fabric.  I have some fabric just like it and now I know how to use it!

It looks like the you cut strips of felt and straight stitched them in the shape of the deathly hallows.  I would have been driving myself crazy trying to cut the Hallows in one piece.  Very smart!  I want to do a Harry Potter theme TM patch tote bag.  If I decide to use the Hallows symbol I will definitely use you technique.  But I think instead of using felt it would be fun to use fabric and chenille it.

As for the other two patches I don't know which they are but both really pop out!  The round symbol is very nice and I love the turquois background fabric.  As for the helix it is very striking.  The background fabric is helps to set off the helix.  Are the dots beads?  Nice job.

Thank you! Most of the images were printed out and ironed on. I am addicted to that now! And the "beads" were french knots! The felt I just cut into strips and circles and just glued it on and then added some stitches to look "pop". Felt is also a new thing to add to patches, and I like it so far!
