1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Clue! (you know...the board game!) on: November 13, 2010 06:37:31 AM
Haha I love it! (as the game board though I may be slightly biased)
Hope you win!
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: My newest project: More subversive xstitches on: June 13, 2010 05:56:52 PM
The second one is my favorite ambigram from angels and demons!
3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / My first teddy bear! on: March 25, 2010 04:16:53 PM
So I decided to make a teddy bear for my cousin's new baby. This is my first time crocheting a teddy bear and I didn't use a pattern so I think it turned out pretty good. I can't decide whether to put buttons or yarn for eyes so let me know what you think!

Thanks for looking!
4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: A painting involving coke? how original on: March 16, 2010 11:24:04 PM
I simply can not critique. I love this. I like how the young man is sort of old timey with his suspenders and his hat. The coca-cola bottle is modern. The red is so striking. The background is quite thorough. By the looks of his hand, he is a strong boy who works the land and deserves that coca-cola very much. Perhaps it is a special day judging by his clean white shirt. Well done. Wink

Thanks so much I really appreciate it!
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: oh boy it's an abstract painting! on: March 16, 2010 11:22:30 PM
I really like it too, but I have to admit I immediately turned my head 90 degrees to the left to look at it sideways. I don't know why I like it better that way. The restrained palette keeps your interest even after several minutes of looking. Well done!

Wulf

Thanks and I totally agree with the orientation. From now on it will be hung like that. Thanks so much for the suggestion.
6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Punch buggy blue! No punch backs! on: March 16, 2010 11:18:24 PM

So this was the second project for my contemporary issues class. It's some Mennonite kids sitting on an old beat up bug. It's about 36 x 48, acrylic on canvas. I didn't receive a lot of comments in critique so if you want to say something good or bad it would be appreciated! Let me know what you think!

So this was the first painting for my contemporary issues class. It was an open assignment so i decided to paint my cousin's Mennonite fiance. It's probably around 30 x 40, acrylic on canvas. No one really said anything during my critique an I'd really appreciate some feedback. So let me know what you think!

10  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Time to get messy. It's finger-painting time! on: January 29, 2010 09:23:48 AM
So I painted this a long time ago (maybe 3 or more years) and thought it was time I posted it.  Finger-painting is a love of mine. There is nothing better then getting your hands messy Cheesy It's about 30x36 and it's done in acrylic. The "branches" are made of wire. Enjoy!
