1  My first teddy bear! in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by maria-boese on: March 25, 2010 04:16:53 PM
So I decided to make a teddy bear for my cousin's new baby. This is my first time crocheting a teddy bear and I didn't use a pattern so I think it turned out pretty good. I can't decide whether to put buttons or yarn for eyes so let me know what you think!

2  Punch buggy blue! No punch backs! in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by maria-boese on: March 16, 2010 05:48:59 PM
So this was the second project for my contemporary issues class. It's some Mennonite kids sitting on an old beat up bug. It's about 36 x 48, acrylic on canvas. I didn't receive a lot of comments in critique so if you want to say something good or bad it would be appreciated! Let me know what you think!

So this was the first painting for my contemporary issues class. It was an open assignment so i decided to paint my cousin's Mennonite fiance. It's probably around 30 x 40, acrylic on canvas. No one really said anything during my critique an I'd really appreciate some feedback. So let me know what you think!

5  Time to get messy. It's finger-painting time! in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by maria-boese on: January 29, 2010 09:23:48 AM
So I painted this a long time ago (maybe 3 or more years) and thought it was time I posted it.  Finger-painting is a love of mine. There is nothing better then getting your hands messy Cheesy It's about 30x36 and it's done in acrylic. The "branches" are made of wire. Enjoy!

9  Paper Lanterns in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by maria-boese on: January 08, 2010 06:54:04 PM
I have a tissue paper obsession and it was all started with these lanterns. I was inspired by the many colours of tissue paper I had lying around. The black is just bristol board which i cut the different shapes out of. I glued on the tissue paper on the back side and I rolled it up to make the cylindrical shape. I made a wire base to keep the shape and I also made a small tea light candle holder. The handle is also just braided wire.

This is my first craftster post so I hope you enjoy and thanks for looking!  Cheesy
