1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / NEED HELP WITH BIKINI PATTERN! on: May 24, 2010 12:15:17 PM
I really do need help and it seems as no one can help me, If someone could answer this question I would greatly appreciate it.

I am making a retro bikini from this website
(http://web.archive.org/web/20000521052736/http://www.cei.net/~vchisam/groovy/mt4-bikini.html)
but the pattern is really confusing I am stuck on the "pants"
I just did
PANTS (60 grs for the 2nd size)
Begin by top part of front.
Chain 78 (80-82) and work in dc.  Work 4 rows even, then:

But I am really stuck on
Shape crotch:  at each edge, every row, leave unworked:  23 (24-25) sts (once); and 2 sts (4 times).  Work 5 rows even on the remaining 16 sts then for back, at each edge, every row, increase 1 st (once); 2 sts (18 times); and 2 (3-4) sts (once).  Work even on the 94 (96-98) sts thus obtained for 4 rows.  Break yarn and fasten off.

I have no idea what that even means. If anyone can translate that into something I can understand I would really appreciate it!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / how to turn a maxi dress into a mini dress on: March 06, 2010 11:44:05 AM
I wanted to share this video that I found with everyone. I found this great tutorial on how to turn a maxi dress into a mini dress. I don't personally wear these dresses but I loved the idea so much I had to tell.

3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / birthday cupcake (with tut for birthday candle) on: March 04, 2010 08:55:27 PM
Now I know these have become pretty popular and I've always wanted to try to make one, but I've just never gotten around to it until I finally had a reason. What better last minute birthday gift than a small adorable crocheted cupcake?

I edited a pattern I found ohttp://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=5284616n It was seriously easy

and I crocheted a little candle by
R1:ch 3 connect first and last
R2:sc 6 through the loop
R3- desired length: 6 sc
then decrease to 3 and tie off.
for the flame
R1:ch 1
R2:sc2
R3:sc3
R4:sc2
R5:sc2
R6:sc1 tie off

heres a close up of the "cake" I just love the speckles of color in the brown.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / glam vest! on: March 01, 2010 11:38:34 AM
No bunnies really hurt during the making of this!!
This is a vest that my friend gave me to glam up for him. It consists of the detachable crocheted bib which I attachted fake feathers I made out of soda cans then painted. I cut a bunch of little bunnies out of fabric and painted them and embroidered one. The two little bunnies are...mating in the front. You can also see the chain in the front which connects to a gutless pocket watch.

C and Cs more then welcome
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / stooges scarf on: February 08, 2010 11:49:11 PM
Made it very sloppy and terrible looking on purpose. I used a bunch of treble stitches and  single stitches. Then sewed on a stooges patch, because they rule.

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / lighter holder for a smoking device on: February 08, 2010 05:43:37 PM
My boyfriend really wanted a lighter holder for his b--g but they are so ridiculously expensive online. So I made him one. I'm going to remake it because I think I can make it look less sloppy

the female parts have a little marble in them I did this because I remembered in girl scouts they gave us little breasts with hard marbles to teach us how to detect breast cancer. So everyone I show them to has to find the breast cancer.

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / glam vest???? on: January 31, 2010 09:15:15 PM
I'm glamming my friends vest up for a friend. I'm using feathers cut out of soda cans to decorate it. I want to use tons of beads but I don't want it to look too girly because its for a guy any advice?
